Might as well have a place to talk about this even if I expect I'll be the only one talking.

Leaving the three Nixes together on red does not seem like a great move. That tribe is shaping up to kill Dewott with fire nicely though!

I mentioned in my death thread my lack of surprise at this outcome. But that quote is always going to make me laugh.

I am reading the description of the location of one of these idols and yet I still cannot figure out where it is.

I may in fact be incompetent.

Serious question: how many idols were there? It sounds like everyone had one.

It's a little depressing that we spent so much time looking for these and everyone else was apparently finding them left right and center.

Three - we just reintroduced two of them as well.

They're just like shiny pokémon - everyone knows like ten people that have them, but you personally never get any.

I'm either very inattentive or I have somehow never seen a shiny pokemon in all my years of playing.

So you're that friend, are you?

Which gen was it? One of the recent ones (I think X and Y) increased the shiny rate immensely.

This is probably wrong because you're ignoring the one that was put into normal gameplay.

(Because I had one of them when I was booted, and Frog just used one)

The one I found (and the one Frog found according to a post he made in the Tilikule forum) were embedded in a small, clear image found near the words "Tribal Councils:" in the game mechanics thread. The map pointed to Hoenn's Ilex Shrine (according to what Ralts posted here), the name of the announcement forum in which the game mechanics were posted.

So no then.
I had the map pointing to Ancient Cavern.

Yeah, that's the same thing. I didn't know it was the Ilex shrine, I just made that assumption.

When I found my idol (second day of the game) I did so without use of the map.

Just for reference:

The map pieces were to lead to the link, but were not necessary. We only put in the link after several people had a few pieces anyways.

That just wasn't a thread I went tabbing through this game. Or if i did and forgot it must have been too early.
