oh my fucking god why didn't we cast youuuu Really, it's cool. I think in my application I made a reservation about me possibly not having the time to fully commit to the game the whole way through (though I would make every effort to do so if selected) because my personal policy is to underpromise and overdeliver, and lack of time has bitten me in games like this before on other sites. Like I said, I know the commitment it takes to play well--and I definitely have the passion for it, but no amount of passion can make up for lost time.
Like when I was in the middle of a cruise that I had scheduled months in advance when they decided it was a good time to start the game. I somehow made it about 6 players in, but I was in an incredibly weak position just from missing the first few days of the game.
But yeah, I've been a fan of Survivor for well over a decade now, and this is really the first time I really get to talk with a bunch of people who are just as big of fans of the game as I am.

I'm not ready to commit to more than one mafia game at a time currently, and all the Mish Mash games I'd be interested in are already well underway with long wait times (not that I mind the waiting, but I don't know what my life is going to be like six months or a year from now, and I'm the type of person who doesn't want to blindly promise to play something that I'm not sure I'll be able to play. But I'm here now, and yeah. I guess I geeked out.

But yeah. The real life Survivor Meet must have been the most incredible time ever. I'm in Texas, so North Carolina wouldn't have been the easiest trip (though I actually was there about a year ago), but damn if I wouldn't have tried to find some way to get there if I had joined MafiaScum a few months earlier.
And I've mentioned the effort to play one of these games--I can't even imagine the effort it takes to host one of these games. You guys are the awesome ones. I just get to watch.

And, I'm not sure if that would have made those otherwise lackluster seasons (IMO) better or worse. um, excuse me, bitch,

@Rumble: Was waiting for someone to comment on that, but original BvW was the first time I genuinely lost interest in a season enough to stop paying attention to it. I just didn't like how every little action turned into "How is this going to affect my loved one?" over "How is this going to get me further in the game?". The second was a bit better, but still only average at best. (Though I guess being bookended by some great seasons doesn't help.)
