Ok, so I would like to officially announce that LoLHAP will be happening. Hopefully we can pump one of these things out at least once a round but we'll see. I will be hosting and would love for any of you wonderful Spectators's to join us on Skype for a podcast at some point during the season.
If anyone has any interest, please either just respond in the thread or shoot me a PM. We want all we can get to come on!!
I will try my best to do one of these each round and I will also do my best to attempt to make it an exit interview with whoever was voted out that round. I think this would be super fun, and even if it's just 20 minutes, that's fantastic.
THANKS!
SHEN EDIT: If you want to participate, PLEASE contact bipolarchemist or animorpherv1 over Skype, or give them your Skype! Thank you very much.

SIERRA DAWN THOMAS IS THE BEST AND I WILL HEAR NOTHING ELSE
w/r/t the below-majority alliance-making: I think in a forum game, if you propose an a grouping that is slightly below the majority, it invites the other player or players to tack on that fifth or sixth number. It makes you look like you're accommodating and a good teammate when really, you're just giving up the chance to pick that first one out once you have to start cannibalizing.
Of course, this doesn't explain, say, the Cool Kids at the Lunchtable alliance in Caramoan. But I think it works here. Additionally, here it can be pretty anxiety-inducing to gather such a large group of people and say "we're a solid 6." The more loose lips, the more opportunities for a sunken ship.

Fair points. I guess it's more of a case of the other players like "Damn this guy already got 6 players together? He's a huge threat if his social game is so strong."
Also I guess on the show alliances tend to be more organically formed and because of the forum format we don't really get to see that here (and/or it takes longer to really solidify).

oooh podcast hype
Ashe quitting sucked. Yeah. All that needs to be said. I think I hate quitters almost as much as Jeff Probst.
ZOMG TRIBE SWAP
Yeah I've already said how much I admired the swiftness of how the tribe swap was handled. I like the even 3-3 split on each of the tribes too (I actually thought this was planned at first, but then I realized that it couldn't have been because someone on the other tribe was supposed to be going home, so I guess in a way that worked out better than expected.) #ModMagic
Yeah Shaco got saved hardcore there. And now he's probably going to be in at least through this round as well. And I like how Quinn's reaction to the tribe swap was basically "you literally picked the two worst members of my tribe to stick me with".
Piltover: I agree I don't really see a whole lot of cohesion here yet, then again they've kind of been out of focus (at least to me) because the other two tribes have been more active/interesting. Then again, until they actually have to go to Tribal, maybe they can get by with that? Maybe they're just more "behind the scenes", too. I'm probably fine with the tribe ranking other than I'd maybe switch Zilean and Gnar? I actually really like Gnar though so I'm probably a bit biased there. But really, why wouldn't Zilean be the second to go from this tribe (assuming nothing changes between now and then)? Unless, again, there's stuff we're not seeing.
OMG A STRAIGHT MAN JOKE I LOVE IT (Actually since I'm sure no one here knows I'm a gay male, I'll just throw that in here too.) Also note that I have no idea about Nautilus' actual gender or sexual orientation.
...Hell, would everyone decide to gang up on Nautilus at a Tribal just because he's playing differently than everyone else????
Zaun: Amumu and Lulu seemed to have made a solid connection with each other based on the one challenge that they basically did all by themselves, but I agree that Amumu hasn't emotionally connected with anyone else really. Though it seems like he's a really logic-oriented person, and... that is often the result. I actually thought Garen would be ranked higher on this tribe, definitely higher than Kindred, at least. And I actually see a lot of parallels between Teemo and Gnar, in a "watch out if they get close to the end" kind of way.
Yeah, I did see something--I think it was in the Lulu/Jinx tag team--about the "teaming up to buy the idol" possibility. (I distinctly remember them coming up with the realization that they'd be 10 gold shy of buying it when they would like to and then cursing out the mods for reducing the gold earned for second place from 20 to 10.) The inner workings of the gear avatar tribe... appropriate visualization indeed.
Ionia: This tribal council changed like 8 times in one day? crazy crazy crazy stuff. Malphite and Jarvan are at odds with each other, Quinn apparently rubbed everyone the wrong way without even knowing it(?) and suddenly everyone is voting Quinn and everyone feels horrible about doing so. And Leblanc and Shaco suddenly go from deep trouble to safety in like, an hour. And Nocturne is there in the middle of everything. Jarvan definitely did not get his way, though, and I think that shows where he really is. Which is unexpected because I definitely saw this tribe aligned along former tribe lines immediately after the swap.
Next round? Hoo boy. Is it even possible to get any crazier than it already is? Because it just might happen. At this point... it might actually be Jarvan next.
Floaters in general--I just don't see that being a viable strategy for too long. You basically end up turning everyone against you at some point by doing that.
Times like this I feel like I know nothing about the game of Survivor.
Yeah, I agree, Jarvan is definitely not in the majority. I just can't figure out what he's trying to accomplish.
Back to Zaun--Yes everyone keeps forgetting Kindred exists, including me. That's why I just don't see him in a position of strength. I also think that, of the three tribes, the former Bandle City members here are in the strongest position. I mean, Teemo might flip, but... what does he gain by doing so?
I still see Mundo making it to around the 6th-8th place range.
Lulu/Jinx is probably the strongest tag team combination in the game. But I also 1000 times agree with the "She's in a good spot... until people realize she's in a good spot" comment. The caveat to that is... with the idols, can they do anything about it before it's too late? Can people blindside her? I don't know.
and obviously I don't know Garen or anyone else omg qq
yay sports references
Dark Horse winner pick: Teemo. Obviously I agree with the "boring" winner picks of Lulu, Jinx, Orianna, et al as well. Players who won't win: Lissandra, Leblanc, Shaco, Kindred, Zilean, Amumu.

OMG A STRAIGHT MAN JOKE I LOVE IT
You're welcome! For a site that has nothing to do with it, the general userbase is extremely queer. So like, most of the people who happen to play Survivor on here happen to be gay guys. And it's a running joke that everyone comes out on MS, cuz well.. a lot of people really have.

Actually there's been a few people who won on MS by doing this. And a lot of floaters get rather far. It can work rather well.
