I copied the challenge post here:
Challenge Post
"Let's talk about me for a minute" - Draven
Congratulations! You've passed your first tutorial, now it's time for a second! This time we're going to be a bit more focused on champions, so stay sharp!
---
The mods have chosen three League of Legends Champions. You will be asking "Yes" or "No" questions to try to figure out who we chose. The tribe that does this using the fewest questions will win immunity.
You are allowed to use outside sources for this challenge. Please arrange a time which works for your tribe for one of the mods to run this challenge. Only 5 people can participate in this challenge from each tribe.
All of the questions must specifically be designated for 0, at least 1, exactly 1, at least 2, exactly 2, or all 3 of the champions. You are NOT allowed to ask compound questions. For example, you can ask "Is at least one champion female?" but you are not allowed to ask "Is at leash one champion a female that shoots a ranged weapon?"
Before beginning the game, each tribe must submit a number. That number will be their guess as to the total number of questions asked by all tribes. (If a contestant is not guessed, they score the maximum of 150 additional questions) In the event of a tie, the tribe that guessed closest without going over will win immunity.
This challenge will be performed in a topic in your Tribal forum. When you are ready to begin, please make an appropriate topic there. You have 24 hours.

Sounds like it doesn't matter TOO much which five of us do the challenge as long as we have a solid strategy. people will more league knowledge and good at strategy would probably be most helpful.

Is X in this group of 32? Yes This group of 16? (Yes/No) This group of 8? (Yes/No) This group of 4? (Yes/No) This group of 2? (Yes/No) This 1? (Yes/No) ... if No we spend another question askin
Min of 18 because if we find the correct groups of 32 at each starting point we'll get 18 total questions. When it's down to 2 people there's a 50% chance each time we'll pick the wrong one, so a maximum of 3 questions gets added for that. If they aren't seperated into the 4 groups specificed at the beginning (aka 2 are in the first group of 32, etc.) we'll waste a maximum of 3 questions finding out that they're not in any of those other groups.
...
I'm open to doing a test run of your theory. The first 3 answers of randomly selected champions would be: No, No, Yes. I'm concerned this method has a higher maximum and potentially could be harder for everyone to follow than the straightforward 50/50 questions.

Also side note, it's important that once we do start we don't rush to ask questions. We should designate one person to ask all questions when we start and pause between each question in case someone comes up with a genius idea on the spot and/or so we don't ask a question we can already deduce. Just throwing that out there!

To clarify, 18 + 3 for if we get wrong when we're down to 2, + 3 at most if the 3 are not separated as 1-1-1-0 in the initial 4 groups.
EDIT: Is where I got the 21-24 from.

My main concern is the potential waste in questions when more than one of the champions are in the same group of 32. What are the chances of that happening, or is there any way to tell? I feel as though we can make that more optimal.

Wait, why do we have to waste a question when there are two left? Won't we spend the same amount of questions regardless? If we know that, out of two, one of them is wrong, we don't have to confirm the other is right. So the only time that would apply would be on the last group of 32, if we want to just guess 50/50 on the last group of two.

I feel as though we can make that more optimal. I'm sure there is, it'd depend on a combination as to whether once we find one suspect, if we've eliminated any suspects (we can only eliminate if we ask if one character in a group and get a no, if we get a Yes, we can't eliminate either side of the "50%").

At least that's my understanding from what I've asked the mod. We have to use a question to identify one of the three characters.
MODS - Can we use a question to identify MULTIPLE characters in one question?
Example: Are 2 of the characters listed below? Character A Character B
And if they're right that counts as us identifying two of them?

Oh, so we win by identifying each champion individually, not by identifying them as a group?

Mod told me (just now after confirming again) individual question for identifying each character - it will affect either strategy the same way though really.
