I copied the challenge post here:
Challenge Post
"Let's talk about me for a minute" - Draven
Congratulations! You've passed your first tutorial, now it's time for a second! This time we're going to be a bit more focused on champions, so stay sharp!
---
The mods have chosen three League of Legends Champions. You will be asking "Yes" or "No" questions to try to figure out who we chose. The tribe that does this using the fewest questions will win immunity.
You are allowed to use outside sources for this challenge. Please arrange a time which works for your tribe for one of the mods to run this challenge. Only 5 people can participate in this challenge from each tribe.
All of the questions must specifically be designated for 0, at least 1, exactly 1, at least 2, exactly 2, or all 3 of the champions. You are NOT allowed to ask compound questions. For example, you can ask "Is at least one champion female?" but you are not allowed to ask "Is at leash one champion a female that shoots a ranged weapon?"
Before beginning the game, each tribe must submit a number. That number will be their guess as to the total number of questions asked by all tribes. (If a contestant is not guessed, they score the maximum of 150 additional questions) In the event of a tie, the tribe that guessed closest without going over will win immunity.
This challenge will be performed in a topic in your Tribal forum. When you are ready to begin, please make an appropriate topic there. You have 24 hours.

Sounds like it doesn't matter TOO much which five of us do the challenge as long as we have a solid strategy. people will more league knowledge and good at strategy would probably be most helpful.

If we're not doing it tonight I'd only have a very limited time frame tomorrow (6pm-7pm EST) to help out. I was just going to use the same excel sheet from that link but I agree we should just stick with one factor (i.e., alphabet only and nothing else).
Also keep in mind once we find one character to word your questions appropriately, aka if we include a group that has that character (since we can't use combo) we'd have to switch our question to "are 2 characters in this range" blah blah blah.

What I think this will ultimately come down to:
A) Being patient and taking our time to make sure when we ask questions we're not making mistakes or incorrect assumptions so that we don't waste questions
B) We can choose to play it safe (ask 50/50 questions) which decreases the maximum questions we have or play it dangerous (ask questions that are not 50/50) but if we get answers we don't want we'll get a higher max, with a slight possibility we'll get lucky and get a lower minimum. I personally prefer the safe route and would hedge my bets on the other tribe making mistakes or getting unlucky rather than trying to risk it.

With such a large pool of candidates, i think we should go risk averse.

32? no 32? no 32? no 32? yes 16? yes 8? yes 4? yes 2? yes 1? no 1? yes
16? yes 8? yes 4? yes 2? yes 1? no 1? yes
16? no 9? no 5? no 3? yes 1? no 1? no 1? yes
That's my shorthand I did in notes, it's not perfect but it's essentially what the max would look like

Alright Amumu, could we run Strategy 2 in a separate thread? Questions 1-3 aren't always going to be the same. I'd like to test it out

Whatever tiebreaker we go with, it should be an even number. Because if we tie it'll be our score * 2 = aka an even number.
I'm thinking either 18 * 2 or 19 * 2. 19 * 2 is more likely but still rare, but I'd still rather go on the lower side so we don't go over... so 38?

Is it too late for you two to knock this thing out tonight so Amumu doesn't have to miss it or try to squeeze it in tomorrow? I'm afraid the rest of us aren't grokking what you're doing quite well enough to be completely reliable.

I would be fine with doing it tonight with Amumu if no one minds. But I'm not totally confident this is the best we could do. Thoughts, Amumu?
