Survivor Scores

It's that time again!

Here are the rules:

Snakes quoting me

Every TC, each player will receive between 2-5 points. If they are eliminated, I give them a fractional score based on the percentage of votes they did not receive. Their total score is just the average of all TCs they attended, and then multiplied by 20. As well, all players will receive a 0 for every post-merge TC that they missed; for example, if someone is voted off at F6, they will get a 0 for the remaining 4 TCs. The overall ranking at the end of the game will somewhat resemble the actual boot order, but there will probably be some differences.

For each individual TC, I will determine whether it is "interesting" or not. If there are 6 or more people voting and the vote is unanimous, I will call it uninteresting. If the vote eliminated someone that voted in the minority at the tribe's last eliminated TC, it is also uninteresting.

For uninteresting TCs, the scoring goes like this:

4 - They voted in the majority and received no votes.
3 - They either voted in the minority or received vote(s).

Any other TCs are interesting, and are scored like this:

5 - They voted in the majority and received no votes.
4 - They received in the majority and received one vote.
3 - They voted in the minority.
2 - They received 2 or more votes.

One slight change since #2016, the criteria for receiving a "2" and "3" post-merge has been switched. After the merge, voting in the minority in an interesting TC will score a "2" and receiving multiple votes will score a "3." This change was suggested by some spectators in #2016, but I've decided to apply it only to the post-merge, when players are more likely to be targeted for being "threats."

Here is the link to the entire list, and if you like the real show, have this. (spoilers for all past seasons)

I also hadn't noticed before looking at the voting chart that Kindred received votes 4 TCs in a row. That's pretty impressive.

Somehow I thought the game was still at F6, so I was surprised when I noticed today that there was a Final Immunity challenge deadline.

Both TCs seem to be interesting, though the F6 round was weird to score, so someone please correct me if I made any mistakes.

Lulu, Garen, and Orianna all voted for Jarvan. None of them received votes, so they all scored "5." Shaco, although his vote was nullified, still voted in the minority so receives a 2. Gnar voted for Shaco, not Jarvan, but because this was a split vote done for strategic reasons, I will not penalize him for that. However, Gnar did receive votes from both Shaco and Jarvan, even though both of those votes were nullified. Still, so far I have scored people based on the votes that were cast rather than the votes that were counted, so I am giving Gnar a "3" for that round.

The F5 round was simpler to score, although because Shaco was not eliminated, it was still marked as interesting. Garen scores a "3" due to receiving votes from Gnar and Orianna, and Gnar receives a "2" for voting in the minority. Although Gnar was aware that Orianna was being eliminated, I don't think it's enough to give Gnar credit for the boot.

I also am liking at how non-Pagongingish this game has been. Not only have all post-merge TCs but one (Lissandra's boot) been strategically interesting, the F4 is one of the most diverse I've seen, tribe-wise. They are split 2-2 on original tribes, 2-1-1 on post-swap tribes, and 2-2 between Noxus/Demacia. Also, Lulu and Gnar never met until the merge, and the same can be said for Shaco and Garen. This seems to have been a chaotic season and I regret that I haven't paid more attention to it.

Also, Lulu has the opportunity to beat Plan B's score and top the leaderboard, but it appears unlikely. It would require a "5" for the next TC, which means an interesting TC: either Shaco or Garen being eliminated, with Lulu not receiving any votes. Additionally, it would require a unanimous jury vote. The record is not likely to be broken with this game!

Well, here we are. Because it's a F3, all players that didn't make FTC are given an extra "0" as if it was a F2 season.

The FTC is scored as follows:

For the winner, they will score 5*(x/n), where x is the number of votes they receive, and n is the number of jurors.

For the FTC losers, they will score -10*(0.5-x/n). Receiving no jury votes will give a score of -5.

Garen and Lulu have a tied score as of now. As far as I can tell, Gnar changed his vote to Lulu before the TC was posted, so I gave Lulu the "3" instead of Shaco. The vote itself is uninteresting because Gnar voted in the minority last TC.

If Garen or Lulu win, they will place in the the Top 9, no matter what. On the other hand, if Shaco ends up winning with fewer than 7 jury votes, he will end up being the lowest scoring winner of an anonymous game!
