Making one pair impossible to guess does not change the other nine pairs, or that Liss and Garen being switched narrowed down their partners. <_<

It was more a legit mixup than "oh fuck they're partners". We had decided the tribes and BPC made the wrong images for lissandra and garen, so we had to switch them due to that.

When Zil told me he liked Gnar the least, I was pretty hopeful. If there was a divide in what Mundo and Zil wanted if we went to tribal council, I thought at the time I'd side with Zil. Gnar just came off as more threatening down the road. And I thought you and Gnar were tight, Jinx. Same with Gnar and Mundo.
Correction on one thing, my partner stated Malph said my name and Lulu's at first for a vote, but he apparently refused to vote Lulu so who knows about that. Later he narrowed it down to me or Mundo.
Why was anyone but one pair not with their partners?

Nasus and Fiddle are both correct! We made the tribes pair agnostically, but I wanted to see what would happen anyways.

Did you pick randomly?
In the first swap on a six person tribe with two beginning tribes, I'd expect those two to stay close and more likely to stay alive vs the other two former tribesmates on either side. Additionally, those partners, if they're the only ones together in the first swap, may benefit from being not as easy to figure out vs other partners who have been or are being targeted due to these hidden connections.

I randomized the player list for both tribes and made it then so we had 3 members of bilge and bandle on all tribes (except piltover because bandle was supposed to have 2 TCs), and we discussed after that what we liked and which players we just didn't want together. If you want, I can post the randomized list here, but you'd have to take my word on it because I copy pasted it into the mod forum.
I really liked this one specifically, because Shaco was very close to being voted out, so it presents an option of "is it really worth it to go out fo my way to save his guy".
