Yay!!!!!

I made it. I think that was a brush with death, but I pulled out. It sucks for San Jose, especially since he was someone who I know would have worked with me.

Seattle sent me a PM saying that SKC screwed him over and that I couldn't trust him, so I thought that Seattle would be leaving, but apparently not.

So yeah. I have no idea where I stand. I'm kind close with Houston, but Houston is close to a lot of people. I don't really care about any of them to be honest, I've been pretty lowkey this game and I'm just going to go wherever the wind blows at the moment. Trying to control things might be a losing game. I'm not under any delusions about being super high on the totem pole on my previous tribe though, so I do know that I have to do something at some point. I'm just in a rare position of making it to the merge without having to put a ton of work in and make a bunch of promises that I can't keep, so it really makes sense to lay low for the moment. There are still idols floating around.

I don't think that was a winning performance on the challenge, but we'll see.

So Toronto just sent me this:

Toronto

That was an awful lot who voted NYCFC, were you part of organising that? The sheer amount of people who voted them makes me believe this was organised.

Like, no kidding it was organized dude. That's literally how Survivor works.

And that's so passive aggressive of him too, I don't know if he intended it like that but that's definitely how it comes across.

I'm probably Maddie? I'm trying to lay low but my big moves-itis is threatening to rear its head. I'm really trying hard to be UTR though because those are the people who tend to have success, even if I survive my own risks that isn't a guarantee that I win in the end.

Also is Columbus not Shadoweh? I'm not doing anything with that information I just think it's probably the case.

So it looks like it's shaping up to be Toronto vs DC this round which, I dunno, I don't really care that much. I probably prefer a Toronto boot, but I'm not dying either way.

It's very frustrating though, these last two rounds haven't been fun to play. Everyone is so nervous about it being them that no one's putting any exciting plans forward. I really don't want to just sit around waiting to get picked off, but on the other hand I really want to make it as far as possible. At some point someone has to upset the apple cart though, just letting this play out like it has been until the end isn't really an option for me. I don't think I'm on the top of any of my alliances though so it's hard to get the traction to make something happen, especially because DC hates Toronto and Toronto isn't someone that I trust to vote with me.

I genuinely like DC though and if people try to push for a DC vote this round or next I'm probably going to resist, it's just hard to actually do when you know that there are idols and that you are drawing attention to yourself. I want those idols played pronto.

Who do you actually want gone if it's not Toronto or DC?

Hahaha, good question.

I'm kind of aligned with Columbus but they are starting to get on my nerves, so I wouldn't mind eliminating then. They're just trying to act so above all of this, you know?

I also could lose Seattle to be honest, as much as they're sweet I don't think I'm one of their closest people. Also they just think I'm cordial? Please, come on now.

I really have been hitting it off with Portland and Salt Lake lately. SKC I like, but they are a long-term threat and Jury threat. I just can't talk about that right now because they have an idol so I need that to get played first.

Houston I loved premerge, but their stock is honestly falling. They just need to be a little more active.

New York I still love, they are almost universally loved and it is a little worrisome. Still, I trust them more or less.

I really like DC and Montreal and I could see myself using them to do something major at some point if I can keep them both around long enough. Montreal in particular is good at challenges so might get taken out ahead of me and also is probably someone that I could beat in the end, and I see them being fairly loyal.

I think ideal scenario for me, we vote out Toronto now and then next round we turn it around on someone else from West. I just need to make sure that the votes are there, which is part of the reason that I'm working on Real Salt Lake really hard right now. And if the votes aren't there, maybe we use Toronto now, but I don't necessarily want that many people who seem goatish hanging around after I make a move. I just don't want to be forced to lose DC, because that's a vote that I'm really counting on controlling.

I guess maybe I should plan to strike at final 9? I don't want to do anything too early making myself vulnerable at 7 or 5 though, I need to be super careful because being perceived as a mover and a shaker is probably death in this sort of stagnant environment.

New York thinks that Seattle is trying to blindside DC. I don't even know why that would be on the table and if it was, I don't know why he wouldn't tell me about, but I guess we'll see. Seattle and DC apparently have some weird beef between them, which is totally fine by me. I want them to keep fighting. Eliminate each other please!

I hope that Toronto doesn't have an idol, but it might not be the worst idea to cast a stray vote or something. I feel like I might be a person that Toronto might be inclined to vote for if he did have the idol because he thinks that I'm part of this alliance that he hates so much. It's like he's straight out of Borneo, seriously.
