I didn't think you did either. And yeah, if that's the case that was really a mistake.

I tried so hard! New York and Houston were so stupid to flip. I mean, time will tell but New York is definitely going to regret this vote for a while, they don't give a shit about him and you did.
FTR I thought it was pretty unbelievable too. I ddn't know why they did that but I wasn't going to take saving Seattle for granted. :$

I think they thought that my side was closer than we were, which is something I should have diffused but whatever. I don't understand it either. I don't understand a lot of Houston and NY's actions this game.

Basically it was that we thought you were a lot closer than you were. I felt like I had good connections with people, but I didn't feel like I was a core member of any alliance, so it was a play both sides kind of thing, we voted out Toronto who I considered to be closer to RSL/Seattle/etc. and so then DC went to keep things kind of balanced. I feel like where things got off track was when I stopped playing both sides and voted you, cause then that gave RSL/Seattle/etc a clear majority and things went downhill pretty quickly from there for me, because they no longer needed me once they had the numbers.

Right, that is absolutely right. You need to bounce back and forth every round, you couldn't just stick with one side for too long or it gave away all of your power. I think it was a good strategy and you almost got away with it, but voting me out was a massive mistake. I still don't totally understand why you thought it was a good idea to turn on me like that, did you think I wasn't loyal to you?

See my fear with that is eventually people are going to get fed up with me if I'm constantly flipping on them. You seemed to be pretty upset after the DC vote, RSL wasn't happy with me after the Toronto vote, I just felt like if I kept on that path it would only be a matter of time before you all got really pissed off and it blew up in my face.

Okay, so initially the plan was to vote Columbus that round. But so then you told me about the idol and I let RSL and NYRB know about SKC's idol right away and then I think they pretty much told everybody else or something like that. So that led to the idea (I think RSL thought this up? not 100% sure) of let's say we're voting KC, but actually blindside Vancouver. And so I basically went along with it because I felt like I needed to choose a side and stay with it for more than a round and I generally felt closer to RSL/Seattle/Montreal than like KC/Columbus and I felt like it was at the point that if I didn't vote with you, I was going to lose you as an ally, so I decided to let you go and plan to try and sneak by for a few rounds while building relationships with people to eventually flip or idol out RSL. But as it turned out Columbus seemed to be the only one remotely interested in working with me and that just massively backfired. I failed to realize that at that point you were probably my second best ally in the game and it costed me dearly.

The minute you told RSL about Kansas's idol he became obsessed with flushing it I think.
Not unreasonable since it was the most likely weapon to get used against him.

I thought the way you flipped on Vancouver made you and NYRB look super shady.

I was pretty pissed about the DC vote, yeah. I just thought you and I were so close until then, I get maybe I didn't make that clear enough to you but like, I thought you were my closest ally and then to flip things around on me like that after I put so much work into eliminating Seattle was pretty annoying. I felt like I didn't have a choice but to stick with you though because I'd already kind of shown my cards and I knew that there was an alliance from super early on West that I was excluded from, so it seemed like you were one of my only options.

I shouldn't have told you about the idol, that's so annoying. I did a good job keeping it close to my chest for a long time, but I shouldn't have said anything, that was my fatal mistake. If you had blindsided me about Columbus, SKC and I could have done something crazy with the idol the next round, though you and New York also had idols so that wasn't going to end well for me probably. Then again, if I lost numbers I wasn't going to make it to the end, so I needed you on my side and if I didn't have you I was probably going to lose anyway. But yeah, Columbus and I were your friends and you totally screwed us over, and even after you stabbed me in the back on the DC vote I still was kind of on your side.

But I'm not mad, I see things from your perspective. It's tough to see things as clearly while the game is going on.

Right now I can get behind a Seattle or Columbus win. RSL and Montreal didn't make nearly enough of an effort to talk to me ever, so I don't see myself voting for either one unless there's a great case somewhere.

Ok so a few people had mentioned they thought you were tight with Columbus, and you had mentioned to me that right before merge you guys had started talking. I never felt as close of a connection with you as I did Houston/RSL etc, and I wanted Columbus gone before merge tbh. Seattle wasn't a threat as much after shenanigans, and Columbus was immune. I was worried that when we had a chance to take Columbus out you were going to prevent that from happening, and honestly any pairs or blocks I saw I tried to break up unless it was with me.
