Well they voted you out next so I don't think you hid it very well...
I don't know what people are thinking for FTC. I'm pretty sure they're acting like Columbus is a jury threat.
Otherwise the words "I think everyone is equal so I don't see how Real Salt Lake is a threat" got said a lot. :)
Columbus is legit the only person I didn't hate talking to yesterday.

I rated you really low in our only Western draft. Actually Colorado and I colluded and put each other high, Sporting Kansas City last (teehee) and tried to reverse engineer better ratings for each other. You getting first place despite not seeming very social set off alarm bells with me. So to be fair, I didn't like your position from the start.

Also you wouldn't admit you had the Shield. I remember asking you point blank when we talked about secrets if you'd told someone about your idol. :$ The way you freaked out on Vancouver's idol leak information made me think you were thinking of your own position as a holder.

It could have worked out if you'd voted out Seattle, I was basically voting DCU as a 'protest' because Seattle and I were so close. Or like.. if you'd targetted RSL instead of Seattle. Or Monty! Easy targets hit the weak etc but I didn't feel I could justify to Seattle as a juror why I'd betray him in that situation.
Me/RSL/Seattle/San Jose had a similar deal plus Vancouver listed me first.
I put Vancouver first because I felt really close to him at the start and because I knew he was probably going to get overlooked because of the alliance thing. Then RSL 2nd and San Jose 3rd.
I wasn't a huge Seattle fan. I never really cared for Seattle or Toronto much at all this whole game for some reason. But I still put him 4th because I didn't want to list him 10th since we did have a deal.
And then you were 5th, because I liked you the most out of the rest of the people in the game. I think probably what happened is our conversation kind of got overlooked by me, because I was very social with some people, I just have a tendency to message the people I feel closest to at the time more.

That's a very fair point. I never told anyone about it except for NYRB. The idol lead to more paranoia and uncertainty for me than it ever helped really. I didn't really trust you, despite our conversation about sharing secrets being rude, I felt like you probably would and did still share things, so I didn't want to say anything about it, because then I figured you'd spread it around and there would end up being a huge target on my back. But then there kind of ended up being a target on me anyways.

See I had it out for Seattle since the start and so at that point it was Seattle or somebody from the other alliance for me. Seattle tried to basically scam me, tried to scam San Jose, and all sorts of shady stuff at the end of the pre-merge phase. Probably the only reason I didn't push Seattle really hard is because NYRB thought we might should keep him since he was so unthreatening at that point, plus I got the impression you, RSL, and Montreal were really close to him and I didn't want to upset that many people at that point in the game.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It had to be something like that, so I knew you were popular with these people I was trying to snuggle in with.

I hadn't replaced into the game for that long. Honestly I could tell that Old Portland wasn't popular by that point and I was fighting from the bottom. That last line is exactly why I didn't like you, I'm perceptive about that stuff. ;)

There was a target on your back because you refused to share with me and were really obvious about it! As the conversation with Kansas should show, I'm not a sharer type. I think secrets are more useful if you don't throw the information all over the place. You never gave me a reason to think you were letting me in and I thought you and NYRB were going to edge me out from my allies. I was clearly not wrong. :/

You never told me he tried to scam you. Or San Jose, I really liked SJ. That would have been a tangable reason I could have accepted to vote him out, if not that vote then the next when you wanted to flip back. See this is what I mean, sharing is caring! It seemed like the vote on Seattle was because he was the least social.

I also didn't get why you were worried about the other maybe alliance when, as you just said, the four of us were clearly close and didn't want to vote each other. <.<

Considering none of them managed to remove a majority, I think we didn't have another idols!
I honestly can't be sure of this but NY probably told other people he was idoling when Columbus tried to start a counterwagon on him. People will vote wherever to save themselves. Embarrassingly I'm not sure who voted for me. NYRB and Real Salt Lake for sure. Columbus was immune so I think he voted with me. It.. makes the most sense that Montreal voted RSL because it's what he was 'told' and it kept him out of the argument, but it'd mean my closest allies eliminated me with an idol just to be safe.

Thanks Vancy. :$ I feel the same way, certain people went from sending paragraphs in the pre-merge to sending one-liners and acting like eight-year olds. Why did you pick me out of RSL/Me/Seattle to aim at anyways?
Well RSL was immune the round I went home or I would have voted for him. I really really wanted Seattle gone and everyone knew it but New York and Houston were making it pretty clear that they didn't want to do that and they were seeming more agreeable to voting for you. I thought that Montreal had my back because we shared some pretty personal stuff and he promised me that he would never turn on me, but I was wrong about that. I did like you personally though, in a different universe we could have had success together. We just had different friends.
I keep forgetting RSL was immune that round.

because yeah i think I would have been down for that as well when I approached him about knowledge that people wanting to flush my idol and he ignored it

I probably could have used the Seattle scamming people, but i was just as bad trying to sign him a trade to keep him pre-merge and then not going through because I wanted San Jose alive.

If Seattle had told me the correct value though, I think I'd have actually lowered my LM's strength to support San Jose, but I didn't think that was necessary because Seattle had told me an incorrect value, and I'd believed him.

I knew Colorado probably ranked me low, but not you!

But then I wasn't actually part of any groups back then.
I think the first actual game talk I probably had was talking about idols with DC and Columbus when the first set of the lamar hunt clues came out.

and I think maybe some sort of alliance with Vancouver in regards to trading which I don't even know if that did anything. It was what probably ended up switching the 'tell about idol' switch on though.

I know, if San Jose stayed the whole landscape would have been so different. I had such a better relationship with him than I did with Seattle, mostly because I knew Seattle was making plans and not including me in them from super early on even though he smiled to my face.

I'm relieved to hear that Houston had me as number one though, when Houston got one after I put him in the first spot and I got like fifth or whatever I felt kind of used. That honestly solidified me wanting to work with the people from the East which would ultimately put me in the minority alliance at the merge. Like I already knew Seattle couldn't be trusted, but I was thinking I had a chance of doing somewhat better than I did because I felt like I really needed it.

Also shout-out to Colorado for trading with me when he knew that he couldn't survive and helping me to draft some of my ledger people, I'm 90% sure that I'm a premerge boot if not for him so thanks man, sorry I let you down. <3

I felt like we had the "people who know that they are on the bottom" connection, lol. I don't think we traded at all, but I liked our relationship. And then you turned out to be my most honest ally in the merge and I kind of screwed you by telling people about your idol. :(

Wait Colorado was actually still talking? I gave up on him replying to me again ages before that stage.

I assume he would have had much better options to trade with than Dallas did.
