Welp, definitely looking forward to joining Synapse.
[7:26:55 PM] Haschel: I assume you can't answer this now but I'm gonna ask anyway: [7:27:23 PM] Haschel: Will we be treated as basically another player in the tribe, with the exception of not doing challenges or being valid vote targets? [7:27:36 PM] reckonerX: Yes [7:27:43 PM] Haschel: So we can PM? [7:27:49 PM] reckonerX: Yeah [7:27:55 PM] Haschel: And we can PM other glitches? [7:28:03 PM] reckonerX: Only those on your tribe [7:28:09 PM] Haschel: Excellent. [7:28:58 PM] Xoffing: Yes you may be an Arkham ghost [7:29:05 PM] Haschel: Gonna try to rally the glitches into publically declaring they'll vote for Abathur so that any players who feel on the bottom will jump on board, and then not use our votes and kick out D.Va next.

[7:27:36 PM] reckonerX: Yes I choose to interpret this to mean that I can use my idol on people, or at least pass it to somebody else. After all, I'm basically another player!
Speaking of the idol, still not telling anybody it went out in my pocket. Let's see if I can keep Tracer safe by redirecting Kel'Thuzad to Diablo.

No you can't pass the idol. It was eliminated from the game when you were. Sorry pal.

For your entertainment I am going to share with you all the right way and the wrong way for a player to handle a twist like this. Each player was sent a PM saying "Hello again! Care to explain what happened?" Let's see how they responded!
Abathur - Abathur
-
Hi Rend! It's good to hear from you, I hope your elimination didn't hurt you too much. You are a good guy and I don't think you were ever really against me.
It was honestly an unlucky situation for you. I was already aligned with the Heaven people going into the swap from Red and from the first merge and I'd put a lot of work into integrating myself with them. When you made it clear to me that you wouldn't work with them, I knew that things couldn't work out between us but I was in a rough spot. I don't think you were disloyal to me in particular, but in terms of assembling some sort of group going into swaps and merges getting rid of you made sense, and also Symmetra was really railing against you.
D.Va had every intention of bringing you in as a fifth before I told her that you weren't on board though, so I probably am to blame for you going. If you're a vengful person, I guess you can take it out on me, I dunno.I liked you and thought you were a good guy, but I still think the decision was strategically sound. By eliminating you, I further solidifed myself in a group that would always be targeted before me and got rid of a likely idol, in addition to pulling in Nova as a possible future sacrificial boot and a number if we got desperate.
I'm phone-posting so I have a lot more to say, but I don't think you played poorly at all. All you really could do would be recognize that I was closer to the Heaven people than I was letting on and tell me that you were on board with their plan, but that's really difficult to realize in the moment. I think most players go home in your spot.
Merry Christmas! I hope you didn't take your elimination too hard, I wasn't totally pulling the strings but I was definitely a huge part of it.

Hey, I appreciate your candor. I'm the sort of person who has always prided myself on not being a bitter juror. Of course, I'm not on the jury, am I? I'll be honest, I was more mad at D.Va than you. But then I thought about how you said you didn't want to make a move and then proceeded to make a move against a person who wanted to make a move with you, and then I was back to wanting you out. D.Va is handling this twist a LOT less diplomatically than you, though. I'm phoneposting from my parents house myself, but I'll be around later or tomorrow, I hope.
- Abathur
-
Well D.Va has a skewed impression of who you were, I don't think she really knew you in the game. She knew a skewed version of you based on over-reacting to info I fed her.
I'm disappointed to hear that. I know for me the vote wasn't personal.
I understand why it would look like that from your perspective, but I think my opinion did legitimately change between saying that the first time and then I was stuck with it. Had we lost either of the first two challenges, it would have been Nova. Things shifted last minute. Plus my alliance was leaning towards eliminating you and I had to stick with them.
I'm phone posting too and I will be this whole round. I am sorry though, I know that you had my back and though eliminating you was a consensus decision based primarily on my incredibly tight bond with Soldier for me, can you see how it was a smart move? It spared one of us last round when Nova was there to bite the bullet.
D.Va - D.Va
-
Yep. Word of mouth from Abathur was that you were trying to vote me off, so we had a big debate between the alliance of 4 whether to vote you off or Nova. We ended up splitting between you and Zeratul, because Zeratul, Nova and Nazeebo were randomly drinking our kool-aid and did whatever we wanted. That's pretty much it. Sorry.
- Me
-
And you believed him?
- D.Va
-
Why would we believe you over him?
- Me
-
Because I had been honest with you. Why didn't you ask me about it? Or at least tell me people were going after me?
- D.Va
-
Because people thought you had an idol. If we told you it was you, you could have played it. That's also why we split the vote.
- Me
-
Leaving aside the fact that I didn't have one, if I had played it then you would have been in a really good spot since I would have owed you my life. Instead you gave me a bunch of BS about how you hoped we could work together after the Alliance tribe was no more and kicked me in the dick.
I am wrestling with whether or not to use my one vote on you or Abathur. So be honest with me, was anything you said to me ever true?
- D.Va
-
Honestly, I'd rather have 4 close allies in Sol, Sym and Abathur, as well as a goat in Nazeebo more than I'd rather have you. Additionally, I thought you were plotting against me personally, remember?

Abathur definitely has done an excellent job at defending himself and probably deserves to not be voted out here.
But D.Va needed an idol to avoid being voted out by almost everyone in the game, so there's no need for me to waste my vote on D.Va.
Sorry, Abathur. Nothing personal (maybe a little).
Lor is on-board with rallying people to avoid me having to use my vote. He thinks Winston and Tyrael will vote with him, and Diablo will jump at the chance to avoid getting voted out by Kel'Thuzad's revenge.

Actually, I'm not voting for him!
