So right, the Soldier PM:

- to Tyrael
You know, I feel like there's an amusing reversal of fortunes here. Last merge, I had a highly visible alliance in the Team Heaven group over on Alliance, while you were part of a looser but more numerous group in the Horde. Despite my best efforts, the visibility of my alliance (and I suspect some bad press from Zeratul and maybe Tracer) prevented me from finding any openings in the Horde tribe, and D.Va received eight votes at the TC that followed.
This merge, you have a highly visible alliance in the Synapse tribe (I don't know how close it really is, but everyone I've talked to on Silicon thinks you're close, which is all that really matters), while I'm part of a looser but more numerous group in Silicon. And while this is a bit more guesswork on my part, I suspect you've probably had similar trouble finding openings on Silicon. If that's not the case and you're close to someone from my tribe I'm probably dooming myself, but I'll continue regardless.
During my tribe's TC, Nazeebo went largely because he was the easiest way to boot someone without disrupting the tribe unity too badly. Sure, Symmetra and I weren't happy about it, but it was known that we weren't too close to Nazeebo, and with Abathur and D.Va dead, I doubt the rest of my tribe was all that worried we'd go running to Synapse. I tried getting traction for Valla or Azmodan votes with Ysera and Tracer, but I got shot down in both instances. The argument Ysera used was that after three TC's, (and with a good player like Abathur getting booted over someone like Lor'themar) the four members coming out of Synapse would be a tight alliance, and so Silicon needed to work together, at least for a vote or two. (Tracer was simpler: She just didn't like Nazeebo. She told me that at the start of the tribe way before TC.) As you've probably guessed, this is indeed a Pagong situation, at least for this vote.
The reason I'm approaching you right now is twofold.
First off, you're the only Synapse player it made any sense to approach. I can't even have a decent conversation with Lor'themar or Winston, so I can't talk to them about this. I considered Karass, but I heard that she was close to the Horde members from my tribe, and if any of this gets back to them I'm probably dead. I also felt like our conversation felt a bit more honest than what I had with Karass. And to be honest, the fact that you bid everything on individual immunity in the auction makes me think you're worried about short term survival, which implies that you aren't confident in whatever contacts you might have from my tribe.
Secondly, there's no long term future for me on Silicon. Oh, it would probably work for at least a couple rounds. Valla seems pretty invested in a Pagong, and everyone I've talked to from the tribe seems fine with a Synapse vote for this round. But the thing is, my only trustworthy ally right now is Symmetra. While the Nazeebo vote was near-unanimous in the end, that's mainly because I realized it was going to happen whether I wanted it or not. And if the rest of my tribe was willing to force a Nazeebo vote through against my wishes, why would I believe the post-Pagong breakup with mostly Silicon members would end well for me? Particularly since Symmetra and I are the most likely targets for a "break the pagong" move, since we're both Alliance members with no strong contacts from Synapse.
Anyway, as far as this vote goes, I fully expect it to be Winston or Lor'themar, probably Winston. (I've been raising both as an option with my tribemates, but everyone seized on Winston, I don't think he's been messaging anyone back.) And while this is a stupid way for me to approach negotiations, I don't intend to change my vote this round. First off because me moving against Silicon immediately will damage, if not completely burn bridges, and I'm in a much better position if I can wait for a round or two before doing so. Secondly because all pagong nonsense aside, Ysera did have a legitimate point: a potential four man alliance is scary, and having it near F8 is a risk, especially with new reward items in play. And thirdly because those two don't talk to me at all, and there's no way I could possibly work with them.
That said, I really want to work with you, as the above hopefully shows. I haven't figured out the how or against whom part, largely because I'm still running mostly blind when it comes to connections within the Horde; I've been told you and Karass are close, and that Karass is close to the Horde members from my tribe, but that's it.
Speaking of which, please keep this conversation secret from Karass and everyone else until absolutely necessary. I can't be sure she'd keep it secret, and if Silicon gets a hint that I intend to break ranks and abandon the Pagong first, I'm doomed. (Granted, I can't be entirely sure you'll keep it secret, but I need to do something if I want to live past F6 or so.)
One more thing, whenever we decide to make a move, I'm certain I can bring Symmetra with me. I've talked over our long-term prospects with her before, and she agrees that there's no future for either of us in the Silicon pagong.
So essentially: "hey there is a Siliconagong happening, and I'm going to let it happen at this first vote but hoo boy you better be prepared for a flip honeybun"

Hi Soldier. I will say that personally I don't feel that Silicon is as close as you think it is. I think since we're all Horde members we were all anticipating doing something along those lines at this merge TC. Like part of Diablo's argument for staying was that each of us had connections on the other side (but also that Karass would run back to Ysera and Valla, so?). However, I do feel a lot like we did back at that second Nexus, where something was afoot; I feel like if the Horde were really coalescing again, we'd have settled on one of you or Symmetra by now . . . and we haven't. Pplus a lot of people are angry with Winston because he just hasn't been talking enough. So yeah, maybe you're right that the Silicon is sticking together at least for this vote. I'm glad that you feel comfortable enough to talk to me. Winston, it's just like, are you going to be able to talk to him enough in such a short amount of time? And I've always been cordial with Lor but I do not know totally where I stand with him. And I think a major problem is that, if there is a Siliconpagong, all of them aren't going to see it until it is too late. I mean, even I'm hesitant to believe it, but I'm willing to entertain the possibility. So I guess I went for immunity not because I was unconfident, at least, not any less confident than I normally am. I just saw it as an easy way to guarantee my safety for one round, not bungle myself up in item paranoia, and because of it we're able to have this frank conversation where we can plan for the future. I understand that you won't change your vote, and I think it actually works really well for our negotiations. If, as I have heard, things are NOT a Silicon pagong, you and Symmetra are kind of doomed and you at least want to stick to the plan you feel has the most tractions. I, being immune, can see how things actually pan out and move forward afterward. But it's really good to have this conversation now when we need to consider it. So I'll expect a Lor or Winston vote, and I'll probably vote you or Symmetra because that's honestly the best inclination I've heard, unless you want to establish some sort of new plan, but like I said, I don't think at this point where there is no evidence of a Pagong underfoot that you're going to switch the other three Synapses so easily. And as for how to move forward, we may not know that yet. Hopefully if Winston and Lor are the first two votes Karass can see the outlook is negative and the four of us can at least join forces. That will be the alliance at 8 that they don't see coming and that they should worry about. But that's the biggest bit right now--the fact that you've said Valla is the one most invested in a Pagong is kind of shocking because I thought she was close to Karass and I. And Ysera seems close to Lor . . . in my heart of hearts, I really have trouble seeing a pure Silicon Pagong, but we can see how this first vote plays out and move forward from there.
Me: OK??? If you're not changing your vote then I'm not changing my vote, and if things go as you say we can talk about it babe
