The Marooning is a 12 hour time period like the 12 hour transportation game start of Medevac Island during which players will submit up to two bids auction style. All players come into the game on the same boat (public press thread) until the marooning! "You have one minute to grab what you can and get overboard!" Everybody can grab 1-2 things. The possibilities are endless. Live chickens, tarp, machete, water jugs, flint, rope and lumber for shelter, maps to special beaches, fishing gear, rice, beans, idol clue, challenge advantage, stamina thermometer... you get the idea Mechanic: everyone puts a nonrefundable stamina bid on one or two items. Highest bidder wins each item. Items are either revealed or covered and described as "large" or "small" - a tarp for example would be a large item, an idol token a small item. Rowing to shore replaces the shelter build from Medevac I - the less stamina gets put into the longer it takes, leaving less time in the day to complete the shelter. Shelter quality dependent on how long the row takes and what shelter supplies were grabbed at the marooning. Items on the marooning boat: 1. Live Chicken [tribe] 2. Live Chicken [tribe] 3. Live Chicken [tribe] 4. Water Jug [personal] 5. Flint [tribe] 6. Rope [shelter] 7. Lumber^ [shelter] 8. Tools [shelter] 9. Casa de Charmin^ [shelter] 10. Stamina Check [personal] 11. *MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE - DO NOT OPEN UNTIL INSTRUCTED* [personal] 12. Tribe Captain! (Men Only) [personal] 13. Tribe Captain! (Women Only) [personal] 14. Small Covered Item (**DO NOT OPEN**) [personal] 15. Large Covered Item^ (Fishing Gear) [tribe] 16. Small Covered Item (Rope) [shelter] 17. Small Covered Item (***DO NOT OPEN***) [personal] 18. Small Covered Item (Tools) [shelter] 19. Large Covered Item^ (Lumber) [shelter] 20. Small Covered Item (Idol Clue) [personal] 21. Large Covered Item^ (Tarp) [tribe] 22. Small Covered Item (Flint) [tribe] Message in a bottle, do not open until instructed which will be at f18 *Theta Tribe captain, headed to Theta Beach (new beach new shelter! womp womp) **Eta Tribe captain, headed to Eta Beach ***Zeta Tribe captain, headed to Zeta Beach ^Mark the Chicken or Dr. Joe previews the Injury Mechanic in this game and warns "Don't hurt yourself!" If anyone wins two large items they get an injury like that jerk baseball player dismounting the Marooning boat. Edited by Tai, Apr 15 2017, 11:15:57 AM.

Rowing to Shore Still no PMing, tribes each have a thread to chat and strategize in. They must commit stamina to the Row to Shore, the more stamina committed the faster they get there and the more time they have left in the day to build the shelter. 0-1000 - landfall after dark - no time to work on shelter at all, special Shelter Task required at first task day to build shelter (regardless of any [shelter] items) Stage 1 - 1000 to 1200 stamina committed - no shelter - fire must be stoked once per half hour 2 - 1200 to 1400 stamina committed - basic shelter - fire must be stoked once every hour 3 - 1400 to 1600 stamina committed - decent shelter - fire must be stoked once every ninety minutes 4 - 1600 to 1800 stamina committed - good shelter - fire must be stoked once every two hours 5 - 1800 to 2000 stamina committed - excellent shelter - fire must be stoked once every three hours 6* - *requires stage 5 + tarp* - perfect shelter - fire must be stoked once every six hours Each [shelter] item a tribe member grabbed from the marooning gives the final product +1 along the scale to a max of 5, but only if they reach shore before dark. Otherwise those items will be used on the special shelter build Task Day. Edited by Jefe, Apr 2 2017, 04:06:16 AM.
