The Marooning

Hello everyone, and welcome! We're on our way back to Medevac Island for a game with a twist - it's Survivor: One World! Tribes divided by gender will be living in two camps on the same beach, sharing task areas and gossip in unprecedented ways.

As always on Medevac Island contestants will manage their stamina, making decisions based not just on short term needs and desires but also long term endurance and strategy. Tasks and challenges will be draining, but many opportunities exist to earn valuable supplies and rewards to improve camp and maintain health. Those that master the ebb and flow of island life may outlast the competition, but for those who can't a singular fate awaits - medical evacuation.

First up our players have to make a snap decision at the Marooning! Everyone is together on a boat laden with supplies, but you haven't got long to grab what you can and get overboard. Players may bid stamina on no more than two items. Only the winning bids will be charged. Until the posted deadline you may chat and haggle in this thread. Please submit your bids in your official submission thread, located in your confessional.

1. Live Chicken [tribe]
2. Live Chicken [tribe]
3. Live Chicken [tribe]
4. Water Jug [personal]
5. Flint [tribe]
6. Rope [shelter]
7. Lumber [shelter]
8. Tools [shelter]
9. Casa de Charmin [shelter]
10. Stamina Check [personal]
11. *MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE - DO NOT OPEN UNTIL INSTRUCTED* [personal]
12. Tribe Captain! (Men Only) [personal]
13. Tribe Captain! (Women Only) [personal]
14. Small Covered Item
15. Large Covered Item
16. Small Covered Item
17. Small Covered Item
16. Small Covered Item
17. Large Covered Item
18. Small Covered Item
19. Large Covered Item
20. Small Covered Item

Items marked [tribe] are rewards that will benefit your whole tribe. What better way to make friends! Items marked [personal] are rewards that will be under your direct control. Items marked [shelter] will contribute to building your tribe's new shelter when you get to the beach!

This season Dr. Joe will be an emergency on-call only, so please be careful out there! If you get an injury you're at risk for an early exit. Anyone who incurs more than one injury throughout the course of the game will suffer an immediate medevac.

The Row to Shore

Working together the new tribes will now row to shore with their supplies, build a shelter and start the fire... if they can manage to make landfall before dark, that is. It's hard work, but the labor could pay off. The quality of a shelter directly impacts the tribe's ability to keep their fire going. Fire directly affects fish and water consumption. Your tribe will be unable to improve your shelter after this event, but if you make landfall after dark there will be a one-time shelter building task available to you during the first task day.

In your confessional you may commit any amount of stamina. Your row to shore and shelter quality is based on the total amount of stamina committed by the tribe. Any [shelter] items collected by members of the tribe during the Marooning will increase the overall quality of your shelter. At this time the captain must also designate a member of the tribe to start the fire, a physically demanding task that costs 50 stamina without the help of flint.

During the row to shore you may chat and plan with your tribe in this thread, away from those icky opposite gender characters. Remember, they'll be able to drop in on your camp once you get to the beach, so if there's anything you don't want them to hear now is the time to speak up.

Keep an eye on those chickens while you're rowing! Live Chickens can get away if you're not careful. Anywhere there are Live Chickens there is a chance for a great chicken escape, represented by a post from Mark the Chicken. Someone from the tribe must post in the same thread within 15 minutes saying Catch Mark! or a chicken escapes. If there are ever any runaway chickens Mark could start appearing all over the island at any time! If you're lucky enough to spot him in your Task Day thread you can always try to Catch Mark! within 15 minutes of his appearance to earn a Live Chicken reward for your tribe.

Please submit your stamina bids in your confessional in the "Official Submission Thread" before Monday 10 am Eastern Daylight Time. At 10am Eastern, you will no longer have posting access to any area except your chosen task sub-forum.

Dowdle Tribe, you are headed to Tribal Council! At this time you will leave your gathering locations, and all communication will be confined to this thread. Votes are due by the posted deadline at Saturday 10pm eastern. You may not vote until Tribal Council officially begins.

Tribal Council 2

Dowdle Tribe, welcome to your second Tribal Council. In this game fire represents your life. When your fire is gone, so are you!

At this time, all communication must take place in this Tribal Council thread. You may skip only one of the questions that you should answer. Please answer the remainder. You are not limited to talking only about the questions posed to you. Feel free to ask other players questions or comment openly to other players. Consequences may apply to players who do not answer the official tribal council questions.

To activate the "nuclear option" and be given the opportunity to have a whisper session with either 1 or 2 other players during tribal council, please notify a mod in your Official Submission thread. The cost will be the total of all successful chat bids for that episode - you will not be informed of the cost before it is processed. So if you are certain you would like to exercise this option, you will pay the cost no matter what. If you are unable to pay for this option, you will be notified that it is not available to you.

Good luck to all of you! Tonight, one of you will become the second person voted out of Survivor: One World.

[Clarence] - Do you feel responsible for the tribe's overall challenge performance?

[Eddie] - Who do you consider to be the leader of this tribe?

[Frosti] - Who do you think is in the best position within the tribe?

[John] - How do personal items affect the relationships in the tribe?

[Kenny] - What factors aside from trust play into your vote tonight?

[Neal] - How do cross-tribal relationships color your view of your tribemates?

[Penner] - Who do you think has the closest relationship on this tribe?

[Russell] - How does your tribe resolve any inequalities in decisions being made?

[Sean] - Do you feel that this tribe has been democratic?

[Everyone] - How have your Camp Day gathering locations influenced your game?

[Everyone] - How do you define "strength" within this game?

[Everyone] - Did you arrive at Tribal Council knowing who you will vote for, or is your vote still up in the air?

[Everyone] - What plans do you have for your tribe to improve its cohesiveness and teamwork?

[Everyone] - Do you have what it takes to outlast Mark the Chicken?

[Everyone] - If this is your last chance to plead your case, what one thing do you want your tribe mates to remember before they enter the voting booth?

Dawn breaks over Medevac Island for another beautiful sunny Task Day... but what's that up there?

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Jeff (formerly THAT GIRL, formerly Jeff, formerly Lill) zooming in on a hang glider! He's got directions for you to follow him to a neutral beach to meet the opposing tribe for a surprise. Can you guess what it is?

Hey, was that Mark the Chicken over there?

It's time to DROP. YOUR. BUFFS. We're switching it up!

At this time those of you with mysterious felt envelopes may open your prizes. Hey, you're the new captains!

Holding the blue felt envelope is SUNDRA, captain of the new LaGrossa Tribe. Your tribe will head back to the original LaGrossa shelter at Eta Beach near Stingray Bay, which is now only for the LaGrossa tribe.

The green felt envelope belongs to FROSTI, captain of the new Dowdle Tribe. Your tribe will make camp at the original Dowdle shelter at Zeta Beach near the Mango Grove, which is now only for the Dowdle tribe.

But we're not quite done! The THIRD tribe's captain is the owner of the message in a bottle! Sadly Sean was voted out at last tribal council. However, he willed his message in a bottle to COURTNEY, which names her the captain of the brand new Stritesky Tribe. The Stritesky Tribe will make it's home here at Theta Beach. Unfortunately that means your tribe will have to build a new shelter from scratch. Just be grateful for the caves at Theta Beach providing some natural shelter!

New captains must submit a ranked list of all fifteen remaining players, along with a single stamina bid by the swap deadline. New tribes will be drafted from these lists, with order of picks determined by your stamina bids. Players picked for each tribe will alternate between the starting tribes, unless there are no other players remaining from the original tribe.

Finally everyone has a choice to make! Will you eat, or pray? You may choose to either hunt for an idol clue or attend the swap feast. Inside the Mango Grove a sumptuous spread awaits, generously provided by our sponsor Outback Steakhouse! Please submit your choice in your confessional as soon as possible. If you are hunting for the idol clue, please include your stamina bid in that choice. Feasters will be added to the feast thread once they've submitted.

This feast will last for 12 hours until Sunday 10am EDT, so please make your selection before then. Task day will begin at that time with your new tribes. Don't forget to check the weather update in tree mail. Please note that these new tribes will not enact the "One World" dynamic and are secluded from other tribes. This also means that all of your tasks will be secluded from other tribes. Anyone from the new Stritesky Tribe who selects the fire task will instead attend the one-time shelter building task, where the fire may be lit once a shelter is successfully erected.

After the huge success of the Outback Steakhouse reward feast in the first season of Medevac Island we've decided to bring back our favorite fake Aussies to cater today's feast with all the fixins! They brought more than last time but I'm still not sure there will be enough to go around so you better grab what you want quick. Everything here is first come, first served. You can only grab one item so choose carefully! To take an item simply claim it right here in this thread.

1 Whopping 28oz Porterhouse cooked Rare, so big you have to share (must be split between 2 or 3 people), 600 stamina
1 Alice Springs Chicken topped with mushrooms, bacon and melted cheddar jack cheese, 350 stamina
1 Bloomin' Onion with all the dipping sauce you need (can be split between 2 people), 300 stamina
2 Outback Center-cut Sirloins cooked Medium Rare, 300 stamina
2 Bloomin' Burgers topped with bloomin' onion strips, 200 stamina
1 No Rules Parmesan Pasta, 150 stamina
1 Loaded Baked Potato, 75 stamina
1 Blue Cheese Wedge Salad, 50 stamina
1 Walkabout Soup, 25 stamina

Inclement weather warning! Today there is rough surf, much too rough to go fishing! You may not go to the fishing task at the next Task Day. Anyone who attempts to go fishing will be sent to look for snails instead.

LaGrossa Tribe, welcome to Tribal Council. In this game fire represents your life. When your fire is gone, so are you!

At this time, all communication must take place in this Tribal Council thread. You may skip only one of the questions that you should answer. Please answer the remainder. Consequences may apply to players who do not answer the official tribal council questions.

To activate the "nuclear option" and be given the opportunity to have a whisper session with either 1 or 2 other players during tribal council, please notify a mod in your Official Submission thread (it also helps to skype or contact us through other means). The cost will be the total of all successful chat bids for that episode - you will not be informed of the cost before it is processed. So if you are certain you would like to exercise this option, you will pay the cost no matter what. If you are unable to pay for this option, you will be notified that it is not available to you. There is not a limit on the number of whisper sessions available. When one is used, it will be announced, but players inside the session will not be revealed.

Good luck to all of you! Tonight, one of you will become the fourth person voted out of Survivor: One World.

[John] - Do you feel that previous allegiances will be the focus in this tribal council?

[Julia] - How have task day groups affected tribal dynamics?

[Neal] - What factors aside from trust play into your vote tonight?

[Penner] - How close do you feel to your new tribe members?

[Sierra] - Has the Hidden Immunity Idol come up in your discussions? Do you think there are any in play?

[Sundra] - Do you think anyone will exercise the "nuclear option" tonight to whisper at Tribal Council?

[Everyone] - What do you feel are important characteristics of a successful player in a game with such limited communication?

[Everyone] - Did you arrive at Tribal Council knowing who you will vote for, or is your vote still up in the air?

[Everyone] - What do you still need from your tribemates to ensure that you work as a team?

[Everyone] - If you could compare yourself to a weather phenomenon, what would you be?

[Everyone] - If this is your last chance to plead your case, what one thing do you want your tribe mates to remember before they enter the voting booth?
