Man, we should really have a games section. Pretty nice game, just a few things I don't like about it:-

.Gameplay seems a little slow, maybe 40 or 50 fps would be better? (room_speed)
.Some collisions are strange.

Other than that, nice work, keep going!

EDIT: Now that there's a game section, I'm gonna move this topic.

I'm sorry Logic Man, but this game is bad.
First of all, is there a way to kill the enemies? From what I've seen, all you need is one little touch, and you're "KO"'d. A bit more, the physics of this game is fuzzed up. Why do you jump so high? You really don't need to. A jump of 32 pixels is really all you need to complete this level. Oh, and the graphics. They're atrocious. Sure, you may not have good spriting skills, but jeez dude, those platforms and that background are bad! Not to mention they don't mix with the sprites!
I know this is an early demo, but still, don't you think you should have a bit more to it than this before you release a demo? Oh, yes, I know that you've probably not had a large experience with Game Maker before, and I know I probably sound like an absolute asshole, but if you want to release this to the public, for that matter, improve your game making skills, you're going to need to get used to the criticism.
Work a little harder and make an ace game for me, will ya kid?

can't help with variable jumping, though.

I'm guessing this is made in D&D? (Drag and Drop) I would suggest learning code. It is much, much more efficient. You can find tutorials for it on yoyo games.

Agreed. Code is pretty easy to understand once you get it drummed into your head

there are some convenient little things to memorize such as "myroom = *insert room*" and "varmsg = "*insert message here*"
