Hey all! So I'm starting these little programming challenges. I'm going to give you a theme, which you must program. You can turn it into an engine test if you want, or into a minigame. Slightly vague? Here's an example. Lets say our theme is switches and switch blocks. You can either simply make an enigne involving those, or a mario-like puzzle minigame. You can use any programming tool you wish. This will help people new to programming get better, using experience and feedback, and people that can already program can use this to hone their skills. 'Is there really any benefit to me doing this?' Why yes, there is. You have a week to complete the challenge, followed by two days of voting. Seeing as this is Fez's programming challenge, I will be making each new challenge. When you win, I'll give you a little credit that you can trade in for a drawing of your character. The drawings will be decent quality. The more credits you give me will change the type of drawing. So 2 credits = a pencil sketch, 3 = an inked sketch, 5 = used the computor but I only use black for outline and shading, etc. (#of credits into drawings not final) If I'm feeling nice, you won the challenge and I feel you did really well on achieving the challenge and you were original, you may get multiple credits. Feel free to use any graphics and music for your minigame/engine. Fangames are acceptable. (so you can make them mario or sonic themed, if you wish) Although no old work. Now, as for the first the first theme... WATER/WATER EFFECTS! be creative. entries due on the 14th of Nov. And yes, I have permission to be doing this. |

That's why you can use this to learn. Read some basic gm tutorials, and try your hand at it. |

Its a shame that no one joined. But I actually made an entry, but I thought it was of insufficient quality. But since no one posted, you can have it. ![]() Its just a tech demo, not even a minigame. You can adjust the spread of the water with pgUp and pgDown. You can adjust the quality of the water with Left and Right. And you can change the color with up and down.
