That's amazing! I'd love to see what this'll turn out like. Also, just a couple questions: Are you still working on Key of Ethios? And how does he hold a sword that large in one hand?

Nah, KoE is on hold till I gain a financial foothold, which should be after releasing a few smaller games, including this one. As to your second question, dude's a beast. Progress: BOWS ARROWS MAYHEM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd1nQ_2bRVY Edited by McMutton, Jun 17 2011, 04:04 PM.

Working on some of the variety of swords you find, but I'll only show you a couple. Currently, there's just the default one, the Regal Edge: ![]() This one's the Zanbatou ![]() So yeah. Edited by McMutton, Jun 20 2011, 02:21 AM.

Presentation eff-tee-doubleyoo! I think I've gotten a suitable sword effect thingy done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-WpCwZiHYg As well as finishing the effects for obtainable weapons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq1QPp070vw I think I should mention what I'm wanting to do with the different swords you find. These weapons don't simply have an arbitrary higher 'attack' value, but they've all got different attributes. In addition, each of the swords you find is pretty much balanced against the others. Taking the two that I've shown, you've got the Regal Edge and the Zanbatou. The Regal Edge, being the default weapon, is the Mario of the game. It deals decent damage and has a decent attack rate, but it has no special abilities. The Zanbatou, in contrast, deals more damage and can do so through an enemy's guard, but it's a great deal slower. So it's kind of like the way they did it in Soul Calibur. |

It's an incredibly buggy program that came bundled with my tablet, Corel Painter Essentials 4. I'm not sure, but the newer versions are probably far less buggy. I thought the test room was uuuuugly, so I made environment stuff:

Looks fantabulous! But the floor could look just a bit better, imo. Oh, are you planning on adding shadows? |

Thanks, guys. I'll be looking into manual shadows later on. The Indie version of Unity doesn't allow automatic ones, sadly. Updated: ![]() I've gotten some rudimentary AI on the first enemy, as well: ![]() It's part of a group of creatures called the Gol, or World Eaters. In our world, Time is the main source of decay; But in UT, it's these things. They always appear in underused places and devour everything, slowly but surely. |
