Normally my games are designed to be easy. With this one, I wanted to make it hard, so I guess that mentality led me to say "screw this tutorial stuff and make them figure it out." I guess I have no choice but to go ahead and redo Heaven--it's only fair. It's going to bug the crap out of me, though. You have no idea how many times I've played through the existing Heaven. Speaking of which, this means I'll have to go through a longer tutorial every time I want to test a new level... Ah well. The customer is always right. As for the manual, I'll either leave it as is or try the outline thing. |

If you change the Heaven you can just just delete it most likely |

Well, you can't like ever get back to Heaven after you beat it, so I think I need to keep some form of instruction available for reminders. And I bothered drawing it, so I'll just leave it. I like having another option on the pause menu besides "Resume" and "Quit" ![]() Anyways, how about now? Check the link in the first post again. Nice, long, baby-steps, fourth-wall-shattering tutorial. At least, more so than before. Edited by Grate Oracle Lewot, Jun 21 2011, 08:16 AM.

Very nice mechanics. But I think the "simple graphics" have a strange feel to them. I'm not sure what but they feel wrong. |

Thank you. Has anyone tried anything farther than World 1? It gets quite a bit harder. |

The tutorial's much better. Sadly, however, I do not have anyone to play the game with so that can be quite a nuisance... |

That's why the two-player levels are referred to as Bonus Levels. You don't have to beat the two-player level in order to unlock the next world, so I don't force you to play them (only the new Heaven part, which is for purposes of demonstration). For the most part, it's pretty possible to just use one character at a time and leave the other one behind--the only part of the game so far that really requires two players is the two-player boss battle in World 4. I was trying to sort of draw attention to this separation idea in the two-player Heaven room, where, even though Jumpy and Speedy are both in there, they can't actually reach each other because of the wall down the middle. But the two-player levels do play better when you actually have two people. |
