So my friends, I have not posted much music recently because I have been practicing getting better at mixing! My first piece I remixed was the mix of Ace's piece Luminous Hellfire.

Original Mix: http://nazmasakamoto.bandcamp.com/track/luminous-hellfire
New Mix: http://www.box.com/s/3dvf89u2neaki21aybpn

Please critique

your live acoustics at the beginning were pretty off tempo and the panning on the echo was a bit annoying. i understand that you were probably trying to put some emotion into it. try really getting into it and still keeping it on beat.
holy shit that bass i cant hear anything but bass
nice beats though
the bass got a lot better after you stopped hammering it, perhaps a bit less focus on it would be good
without focusing on the percussion, this mix is pretty good. admittedly, the song itself could use some work, but this is about the mix so
yeah, not bad

Pretty nice. The intro was really off beat and the reverb was over the top...
Once the bass started, it was annoying, but became less so as it went on. Also, was it just me, or was the beat really random?
Other than that it was alright, you may want to use more panpot stuff, though, as it all seemed pretty centered...
And kudos to Plasmi for the original song!

The beats are "random inspired" by Skrillex and Deadmau5 because they are random with their approach in creating drum beats. what I did was create a bar of straight 16th notes of bass. I continued that for several bars. I then copied that rhythm and I eliminated random bass notes. All of the bass was on a seperate track. The snare and digital hi-hat was on another track. Pretty dumb. I know. ridicule as you wish.

...huh
i havent heard much skrillex but honestly i think deadmau5 uses a bit of discretion and probably a little bit of thinking for his "random" drum beats, so as not to ruin the pleasing quality of his music
then again, deadmau5 is very repetitive, skrillex as well, so changing up the drum beats is probably one of the only things they do to make different sections unique

No in-depth crit from me since i'm ignorant of musical terminology, just gonna say I liked the unmixed version better
