The very first line is EXTREMELY rough, and it sort of ruins the first impression. But, I love the song tbh |

well that wasn't particularly interesting the structure of the song seems like you didn't even try to make something you found interesting to listen to, but intended to copy the structure of some mainstream band using AABA format. thats not bad to start out with, but shit kid you've been imitating owl city forever now. also whats your message? all i got from the lyrics was a bunch of "deep" babble that didn't really make much sense when stuck together. |

The song was intended to use an AABA format. Owl City is the most popular in the genre of synthpop. So most people associate my music with Owl City. I just like that style man. I prefer it and it speaks my message. For this song, when I was in Cancun, I was snorkling and I saw that when people swam over choral and hit it, it was killing it, and eclipsing it like the sun. I thought it could be applied to our own lives in the fact that, we can't change the past, but we can make for a better future. I illustrate that by using choral, eclipses, and extra-terrestrial bodies. |

I wouldn't call this your best. That intro was a really random progression... It just wasn't catchy. Also, was it just me or didn't the lyrics make any sense whatsoever? Sorry bro, this honestly isn't a great song to be quite honest... Well, at least the instrument interlude was nice! One more thing, did you use auto-tune because you can't sing or effect? |

your particular style of synth is very, very similar to those used by owl city. other synthpop bands don't use synths with the same color and texture. and your message really doesn't seem to be anything with any deep thought. thats ok though, so long as you didn't just jumble things together. i would listen to this again and give a better opinion if i wasnt so lazy. |

I used a program called Melodyne. Melodyne allowed users to take their vocal notes and change the bad syllabes (offpitch) so I used that minimally. Its a very fancy autotune. I do sing. |

My songs do imitate Owl City's synths as I do enjoy playing them very much. I suppose the chord progression is boring...I am trying to use a better song formats and mix it up a bit. Expect something better for Bubblemint. |

http://www.box.com/s/dfdiseigv6itksx7o63f "Five score years ago, a great American in whose symbolic shadow we stand today signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as the great beacon light of hope for millions of negro slaves, who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity." - MLK A song I dedicated to MLK...and Datt. Edited by John, Jan 22 2012, 02:26 AM.

That was pretty cool! Loved the into, but the strings got a bit repetitive after the bells, probably because of a lack of melody. I gather it's not done, though... |

try letting the percussion come in a bit slower, their entrance was very sudden and a complete change of pace. there's really not much else to comment on. |

Easily the best dance-pop tribute to Martin Luther King I've ever heard. Primarily due to the nonexistence of other choices. Diggin' that bell melody |
| I know I'm not the first choice for heroics...and y'all've tried to kill me more than once. And, I don't fancy a single one of you at all. But... Actually, all that sounds pretty convincing. I wonder if Danger Mouse is on. | |
