So I traded my largely bricked (Battery doesn't charge, needs new wi-fi card, blah blah... Anyways, I traded it to my grandpa's friend for an Acer Aspire One netbook with a busted screen. This is a major upgrade from my Dell Latitude D610 with 60 GB of memory. My question is, what should I do with it?

a) Replace the busted screen with a new one? (Screen is $50)
b) External hard drive enclosure and sell the remains?
c) Other?
Done trying. Bye.

if you have the skill needed (or you know somebody who has the ability OR you have enough to pay for screen and professional care) then i would suggest just getting a new screen, because this model isn't bad for a budget.
also what do you mean by "External hard drive enclosure?" is that a verb that i'm not catching on to, or...?

Yep! I definitely have the skills to replace the screen, it was just the question of whether or not it was worth the fifty (average) bucks for the screen. I've found one for around $40 on Amazon.

And an external HD enclosure is a hard drive that goes outside of the computer through USB, like a flash drive but bulkier, slower and a lot bigger.

I was gonna' buy one if I don't fix the netbook, but I think i might go ahead and fix it. It appears to be a decent little machine despite what I've seen and heard (and experienced during the Vista era) on Acer.
Done trying. Bye.

Well it is going to be cheaper to replace the screen yourself, because not a large horde of people are out for parts these days since Windows laptops are moderately inexpensive. I would look up some guides on the internet to help you out as you do it, but other than that... Good Luck.
