Last night, my computer was infected by Trojan:Win32/Sirefef.AN.
It was pretty terrible. Suddenly, my internet went even slower than usual (which is like... really really slow) and I could barely chat with MK on Facebook. But, thanks to MK, my computer was saved. He gave me a link to download Avast!. The program restarted my computer and did a full scan of my hard drive. Turns out the cause of the infection was an Anvil Studio update that never finished, apparently leaving my computer vulnerable to pretty much anything.
But, I'm happy to tell you that my computer has made it through this, and now has plenty of protection (I hope.)
Thanks, MK!

A while back my NEW GAMING computer get 6 viruses.
It deleted my antivirus, deleted my windows firewall, and replaced itself witht he firewall, almost tricking me into buying its program that would "get rid of the virus"
( funny thing was, it was another virus :V )
so i went to best buy geek squad, of course they didn't do shit, went home, re-installed my antivirus, and farksnarkleed that virus up.
it was pretty bad too, took 7 hours of scanning and re-deleting the files over and over, but i finally got it.

Also, on my old PC, I got a virus that changed all the passwords to everything on my PC, from my actual windows user to my TCOTL account.
i cracked them all and got a new PC, i couldn't stand that one anymore |:V

so yeah, i know how it feels.

Once had a virus that disabled my internet, corrupted my antivirus software, prevented me from getting into task manager, came back no matter how many times I system restored, and induced the bluescreen plague that still carries on today somewhat.

Rkill (iExplore) is a wonderful thing. It automatically terminates all known malware processes.~
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hope rides alone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got a rootkit on my computer awhile back and it took a week of rescanning over and over and over again with 3 different virus scanners in order to get rid of it. It was making my computer go super slow, caused weird glitches in all of my programs and redirected me to some weird search engine no matter what I tried to do. Also the rootkit also kept making trojans like crazy getting rid of the rootkit it's self was very very difficult.

Avast is pretty great, but lately it seems to think my Game Maker games are suspect programs
So thats a little annoying

Good for you and all, but I thought this topic was going to be about how you survived a zombie apocalypse. I was disappointed.
I know I'm not the first choice for heroics...and y'all've tried to kill me more than once. And, I don't fancy a single one of you at all. But... Actually, all that sounds pretty convincing. I wonder if Danger Mouse is on.
