Mudcrab Posts: 36 Group: Member Member #420 Joined: June 13, 2008	So I just recently did a bit of browsing and I saw that the site is moving...I would just like to ask for clarification and of my own interest, what exactly will the new site offer from the old one? That is, is it going to provide a seamless way of adding articles? Or, will we be able to finally download our own files? Such as the TESFU mod that I see Ibis and lettuce among others have been working diligently. I kind of just want to know what exactly inspired the move, and what the advantages of moving from here are from not moving...oh and hi everyone!

So I'll just let Lettuce do that for you. All I know is that we are being hosted by a professional group of people. They're making our site, our forums, etc. We'll be hosting fan fiction contests, and that sort of thing as well. The site will also be a lot better than the one we have now. And we already have a team of people established that will work on the site. I am the Editor-in-Chief, and that means I am Head of the site. Because as you can see, I am not an Admin of the forums anymore. Lettuce holds that title for himself and himself only. Brian S and Quirk are my Lore Editor and News Editor respectively, and we are still looking for a Mod Manager. Thanks for stopping by. Edited by redsrock, Jan 19 2009, 12:47 PM.

Alright fair enough that he will be explaining this to me, I just want to know what about our site and forums will be different and better because I want to see the benefits reaped from the work put into it. And I wish you luck on how the site unfolds, make sure there's a lot of good articles out there! Although I also wish you luck in thinking of them, since besides the modding spectrum, there really is nothing to hear about TES or so I've heard.

You're right, there's not a lot of news right now, which will make Quirk's job rather hard at first. I'm hoping after Fallout's three expansions, Beth will start talking about TESV and all that jazz. I remember how excited everyone was at BGSF when Oblivion was announced. I can't wait for that excitement here. And don't worry about the articles, Brian has already copied and pasted all of his Lore Reporters, and he's thinking of ideas for the next one this minute. Also, I have saved all of the city guides, interviews and that sort of thing, so when we move we'll at least have a fairly full database already. Some features that I'm thinking about is a monthly Story of the Month, where I'd interview the author and ask questions specific to that particular story. Sort of like a mini-interview I suppose. But I don't know, it's just an idea right now. We could do a similar Mod of the Month as well, or something like that.

Mudcrab Posts: 36 Group: Member Member #420 Joined: June 13, 2008	Well I'm not worried about having everything transferred from the old site to the new...although some of the stuff should definitely not be ignored, such as the various articles, tests and what not. As a suggestion, story of the month sounds good, but a mods of the month or whatever should certainly be maintained. Fan-Fics, mods, and lore is all we have right now to maintain a site and maintain an audience, with modding obviously always drawing a big crowd as well, so that should certainly be done as much as possible. And competitions should certainly not be forgotten either, I know you mentioned a fan-fic competition, but is it possible that you could make someone head of competitions? I remember that that was one thing that I forgot to appoint someone as, and that would have made my life easier, as well as providing automatic activity, since contests are that much more interesting. Especially think gameplay competitions, where the competitors can do a variety of things and prove it with a picture of some sort. EDIT: And nice meeting you Quirk if I had not met you before, always good to see someone take an active role! Maybe you'd be interested in hosting competitions if reds and lettuce agree. You can never know for sure :P. In truth though, I'm not really sure, I kinda just had the urge to go on today. I'm not so into games anymore, and junior year is an absolute killer, so I'm not positive exactly how often I can go on. But, I'll try to make a concentrated effort to go on once a week or so, no promises for sure though. EDIT: And I just PMed lettuce about this, but is it possible you could unban my old account that I banned kinda stupidly way back when. Edited by Waco, Jan 19 2009, 01:21 PM.

Well, I decided to join XF games, as a division, and well, its pretty sweet. We are getting an actual site and everything.....like a real site Currently, only the staff knows of the release date (quirk, brian, reds), just in case something happens.
