The Dwemer

The Dwemer are a weird and wonderful race but they are mysterious.
For example in one of the missions in "Tribunal" you have to go into a Dwemer city underground. When you get there you can see the Dwemer fighting Machine-Creature things. Of course the Dwemer win (most of the time), this means tha they are stronger than them freaks. The weird thing is they're robots and robots and knights don't meet often...

Anyway thanks for reading :goodread:

I too love the Dwemer and have always been fascinated by their mysteriousness. Apparently they were the machine-building, scientific elves as opposed to more religious oriented, hyerarchial elves like the Altmer or the nature worshipping elves like the Bosmer.

It is intersting to find out more about the Dwemer. From what can be gathered they were civilized a lot sooner than the present elves and yet they seem to have contributed to their own mysterious demise.

Actually, that is connected to why they were called dwarves. :goodread:

Yes they are called dwarves and yet they are not apparently short and stocky of stature like the dwarves present in other mythology.

Granted, Yagrum in his current state looks like a stereotypical dwarf with robotic spider-like legs :P

Since the gods were giants (that then shrank into squirrels and tectonic plates), they were Dwarves by comparison. The Dwemer built Numidium to become big, bigger than the gods.

I am sorry, but I could not seriously read this.

I've always had a soft spot for the dwemer ever since I started playing Morrowind about two years ago (has it really been that long!). I even modded the game slightly so Yagrum Bagram was in Balmora, meaning I could try and learn more about the dwemer easily.

I'm really hoping more will be revealed about them sometime in the future.

I don't know about that.....I used to feel the same way, but that would take all of the mysteriousness away from them. And to me, that's what makes them extra special, that we don't know a lot about them to begin with. Or at least I don't that is...

were they recently extinct, or were the caves never discovered or something?

That was Dwemer technology, but not THE Dwemer people. I can't really get into specifics, though, because I'm not smart enough. Paws knows a lot, so hopefully he'll check back in. I don't know if B-rad is knowledgeable with the Dwemer or not.

OHHH... this makes sense. thanks Reds, but i would still like to know where they went, if they and the Heartland High elves lived in the same Era, why dwemer abandoned their lives, and why the caves were still fresh with Dwemer life. so hopefully Paws takes a look at this.

You're not making much sense but the Ayleids were slaughtered and the Dwemer tried to transcend.

I think that's what you wanted to know.
