I figured this would make an interesting thread.
And even if all you have is a crappy little laptop, post that too ha ha.
I just got my new XPS comp a few weeks ago.

XPS 420 Case Link to really huge image of it
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz (Internal Clock Maximum 2.7 GHz)
ATI Radeon HD 3650 258MB (Max GPU Memory Clock 499.5 MHz,
Max GPU Core Clock 729.0 MHz)
Vista 64-Bit
4030MB RAM (4 x 1GB)
HDD 390GB Free (581GB Total)
Dell 375W Power Supply.

I'm going to buy a new GPU pretty soon, I'm thinking the ASUS EAH4870DK 1GB or one of the Nvidia GX200s

Hey Dume, go with the ATi 4870 1 gig, or the 4850x2.
Don't get the 200s, they aren't as good a value.

My specs:

CPU: Intel e6300 overclocked to 2.8ghz
GPU: ATi 2900xt (why did I buy this)
Mobo: Gigabyte DS3
HDD: 320g Seagate
RAM: 2 gigs DDR2 800 Crucial Ballistix

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800x 2.5 GHz Overclocked to 7.0 GHz
Graphics Card: BFG Tech nVidia 9400 GT 512Mb
RAM: CORSAIR 4GB (2x 2GB) DDR2
HDD:320GB, 120.43 Available
OS: Windows Vista 32-Bit modified to look like Mac OSX

And I'm so glad I got that new graphics card. I used to have an nvidia 6150. ouch. But my new one can run Morrowind with distant land on and 2x antialiasing at 1024 by 724 resolution at an average ov 25 FPS.

Well, I now have a Corsair 850W power supply, and either a ruined processor, or motherboard. While I was putting in the new PSU, I had to take off the CPU heatsink to run some cables under it, and when I was putting it back on, I must have tightened the screws to much, and I think it messed up the motherboard CPU pins (It isn't 1066) or something on the processor... But it gives me a good reason to upgrade to i7 I guess... And it back to the old comp for now...

Dell Dimension 4700.
Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.40GHz
EVGA e-GeForce 6800GS 256MB
XP 32-bit.
3070MB RAM (4 x 1GB)
2 HDDs, 71 and 233GB
Antec 380W Power Supply.

AMD Sempron 3000+
1 GB RAM
Ubuntu Intrepid

I used to have an ATI Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 512 MB, but that bailed out on me at the weekend :( The fan isn't working properly and it overheated during gaming. So now I'm running my PC on an ancient Matrox card (no 3D support) so I can only boot Ubuntu for now (normally I dual boot with Win XP.) No gaming for a while :( Just at a time I'd really need it to tune out a little.

So yeh, back when my card worked, not a high end PC but it was fine for what gaming I did.

Acer Aspire desktop

19" widescreen monitor
E4600 Core 2 Duo
3GB of DDR2
500 GB of hard disk space
Nvidia GeForce 8600GS, Vista, and a 16 in 1 card reader. That's what the sticker tells me.
Too awesome for one forum alone.

I have no idea what the problem was, but now it's fixed, we had a technician come to the house and he replaced the power supply with an identical one and it worked, for some reason. Right after he left I put in the Corsair 850W psu and it works fine also.
