They can give you a sunny disposition with their properties of Fortify Personality and Fortify Intelligence, while also providing Fire Resistance. Cool i like the skills, and it makes sense that it is frost weakness. I think it's a tiny bit oerpriced, i wouldn't pay 40gp for it. Edited by Dark Slinkie, Mar 7 2009, 07:27 AM.

Oh I love this one, I think Golden Dandelion Wine is going to be a favorite at the bar of The Dragon Break Inn, hehe. |

Actually, Dark Slinkie raises a good point about values/prices. I see no problem in raising or lowering prices based on this sort of comment. In this case I'll drop the price to 20 maybe?? That's not an area I really feel confident about. I did start a thread elsewhere about what properties people would most like to see, so I could add that question as well. Mind you, I think Slinkie was the only one to reply to that anyway (thanks Slinkie). |

Considering the towering size of the Golden Dandelion, I think the seeds must be quite huge, so 20 - 25 gold isn't unreasonable for one. This plant was modelled to be large because what you see there next to that house is at .50 scale; which is the smallest you can mod an item in TESCS without taking it to NifSkope or Blender for a reduction. I'm not sure what we can use for the seed yet, but it should be something at least palm-size, don't you think, Cathym? Maybe for making your potions you'd grind one up and portion the seedpowder out? **Edit - I just checked the seeds, the head of one is about half the size of an ampule pod but has a much longer stem. Ibis, I agree that a plant that size would have seeds around palm size or larger. Although sometimes large plants have a big seed-head but with lots of little seeds. So a dandelion for example has those big puffy looking balls. But that is actually made up of lots of seeds all attached together. However, I can't think of a way that the player would collect a seed head but then turn it into dozens of seeds. So you could go either with a large seed, or you could make it that when the player successfully collects seeds they get maybe half a dozen to a dozen small ones... |

Yes I see what you mean .. either retexture an enlarged ampule pod to match the sunny yellow coloration; or maybe something like a half dozen yellow pearl meshes. We will decide on creating the look of all the ingredients a little later on. But now you've made me think "how are they going to harvest seeds from blooms that tall?" haha I know ingame you just click on the floral container and it yeilds its contents. But realistically thinking about it, it's a good thing I put them by those steps, huh? Because it's going to take some awfully tall ladders and balance skills to harvest from Golden Dandelion and BloodSpike, especially with its razor sharp petals. Edited by Ibis, Mar 19 2009, 01:10 AM.

Heh - well if you want to do some really clever scripting, you could stop them harvesting unless they are high enough (a scripting check that the PC's position is no more than xxx lower than the top of the plant). That way they would either have to levitate or climb a rock or something. But don't ask me whether that's even possible, nevermind how to do it. And it's probably not worth it anyway. But it's amusing to think about. |

It is amusing, I for one love how easy it is to click on flora and get their contents. And I am very rusty on my scripting. One of the things I hope to catch up on. For right now, I'm catching up on updating all your new names to the flora in the mod. |
