They were 'gay' or 'girly' or whatever other derogatory nonsense got thrown at them. Nice way to be rewarded for sharing something freely without being asked. I haven't stopped modding - far from it. I'm continuing as I always did, but not sharing it any more. I'll continue to mod for me. Oblivion and Fallout are single player games and I'll dress my characters whatever way I see fit. I'll play the game whatever way I want. Any permissions for reuse that I have given already still stand. Stuff I've made for other projects such as the Underdark mod are still valid. I might still - and it's a big 'might' - make the odd item as a request. Unlikely, though, except in very special circumstances. I ask that my mods not be uploaded anywhere else. To do so is in direct violation of my wishes. No further permissions for use will be given. That's it. It's over. I am moving on. I am sorry to all those folks who genuinely have enjoyed my mods. I hope you kept them backed up somewhere safe. My health is not good and the further stress of the constant crap has forced me to quit. I don't need another stroke, thanks very much! Only the mods have attracted all this crap. I will still be updating this site with stories and artwork as normal. I still enjoy the games I'm playing. I probably always will. I'll finish here with a big thank you to all those who have enjoyed my mods and actively supported me. I'm truly sorry it had to come to this, but my health must come first.

Slof got mad, Slof had her reasons (I'm not surprised at all the insults happened at Nexus), she's gotta move on, let's all move on ... and organize, as we used to say in the sixties. Slof made no mention that her fans could not email the mods they have to others of her fans who do not have a particular mod. I propose that we start organizing email programs and share our stored AlienSlof Mods with each other so as many Slof fans as possible can at least own all of her works privately. I have her Black Panther, Black Panther Robes both of which are well within email limits and I will share them with anyone here who PMs me their email address. I also have her Gothic Attire on an archive disk right now, I'll have to check if that is small enough to email. Concerning ReUse, Slof says: Slof's Announcement Any permissions for reuse that I have given already still stand. The 3 mods I have say that I have permission for reuse in my mods as long as I let her know when my mod is uploaded so that she may download it and that I give her Special Credit - both of which I will do. I do not interpret her announcement as harshly as some do = that any and all mods that have Slof stuff in them are no longer useable, must be also be taken down off the nets, nor even that if you have 'stored a mod of hers in a safe place' that gives permission for reuse, that you cannot now use it. She said any permissions for reuse that she has given already still stand. I am taking her at her word on this.

But you know how tempermental us artists, musicians, modders, writers, etc. can get. We can only hope that she cools down after a time away from it all. Do you get any derogatory comments about your music at MySpace? I never get a comment one way or the other about the little bit of personal artwork I've displayed there. Nor do I get many comments at DeviantArt, but I don't deal in controversial subjects like Slof does. Lettuce I guess you're right - it is better for everyone to talk it out now and the community or at least our part of the community decide what to do about it. Certainly we can use her mods in private and exchange them for private use. I believe that I am interpretting her statement regarding permisson correctly. So I will email her when I am ready to upload a mod with her black panther and robes in it. If she emails me back that I may not upload, then I won't. But there are people whose whole khajiit personas are based on one of her khajiit retextures; and I can guarentee you that they are not going to change their whole role play character, website avatar, whatever is involved because AlienSlof was insulted by some people at Nexus.

So far, we only do that after the person leaves etc. and then be all like, come back!!!! Maybe if we are supportive during the hate mail or whatever. Also, we should all rate the mods.....fairly. Not crap like "I don't like it, so it gets a 1". So, when we move, I want all of you guys to actually rate the mods.
