The Ace Posts: 3,316 Group: Member Member #9 Joined: December 3, 2007	Ive been playing Oblivion alot and I have found some pretty interesting things that I thought were worth mentioning. This tread is for you to post anything in Oblivion that catches your interest. Be it beatiful waterfalls that you want us all to see, crazy glitches, and anything else that you feel deserves to be posted. Feel free to post screen shots too. Falanu Hlaalu, the Skingrad alchemist, is a very interesting woman. At first glance, shes just an ordinary House Hlaalu member. When asked about "skingrad" she will ask you how much the fine for necrophylia is in Cyrodill. I asked her if it was the first offence, and she gave me an honest "no"... so I told her that the fine is 500 septims. She answered with "Thats it? thats nothing compared to Morrowind" i thought this to be VERY strange. necrophylia in Cyrodill? i never would have thought... I also noticed, while completing Glarthirs strange requests, that the PCs crime is not the only crime going on. Shameer, a redguard who works for Tamikas vineyards, is an avid pickpocket it seems. while following Peneles to complete the quest, i noticed that Shameer started to follow Peneles when she went on her luch break. Shameer caught my attention because he was sneaking. i followed them both to find that when Peneles sits to eat her lunch, Shameer tries to pickpocket her countless times. In my opinion, Shameer is a lousy thief. he was in broad daylight and she was looking right at him. he could have atleast picked the lock on her house and loot the whole place like i did. lol

And the suicidal troll. Actually, the suicidal troll is pretty much the best the in Oblivion. Seriously. It's awesome.

B Dawggy Dawg Posts: 2,844 Group: Member Member #78 Joined: December 13, 2007	That reminds of a time when in either Lewaiyn(Sp?) or Bravil, can't remember which, the khajjit guy, can't rember his name, stole something, and was caught by the guards. The thief ran, the guard followed, the khajjit ran into the chapel, and was killed by the alter. When I checked his body I found out that he had stolen a loaf of bread. I laughed.

Now i have two accounts of theft including yours Poochie. has anyone witnessed a murder?

The Ace Posts: 3,316 Group: Member Member #9 Joined: December 3, 2007	Assassination! The Black Horse Courier released a copy dedicated to the late Emporer Uriel Septim VII. It states he ruled for many years and how he was a good Emporer. If youve played any of the earlier TES games, and you have read this paper, then you may have noticed the three paragraphs dedicated to Uriels Reign at the time of each game. One paragraph mentions how Uriel was taken captive into Oblivion by Jagar Tharn and how Ria Salmane and her shadowy prestige helped save him. These events took place in Arena. Another mentions the Wars of the Iliac Bays and the events of Daggerfall. And the third has word of the Great Religious Wars and Vvardenfell Crisis of Morrowind. I thought this was very interesting because I had no clue that it was the same Emporer throughout the timeline of all the TES games. So if you find yourself in the Imperial City, stop by the Black Horse Courier and pick yourslef up a copy of Assassination!

Scamp Posts: 89 Group: Member Member #267 Joined: March 1, 2008	Dive rock is one of the most fun suicides in a game, I'm sure Also, dead goblin in a barrel surrounded by beer's pretty funny. In OOO the skeleton in Market District with a beer giving you thumbs up was really interesting first time I saw it. Wasn't expecting that.

The Ace Posts: 3,316 Group: Member Member #9 Joined: December 3, 2007	haha, ive seen the goblin in the barrel actually. that was in a cave some where i cant remember. i laughed. never seen Dive Rock... but it sounds like great fun lol. The Beatiful Painting Anvil Docks (near lighthouse) Astia Inventius, the wife of the renown hunter and woodsman, Penarus Inventius, is a loyall and loving wife. Shes a very opinionated woman, saying that all the men of Anvil are drunks. She also has a half-hidden talent... Every day starting at noon you can find her at the west side of the Harbor Docks painting a beautiful painting of the lighthouse. The portrait is very accurate indeed, as all the colors and textures seem to be right on. Unfortunately Astia will never really finish her painting. If she did then she wouldnt have a clue what to do with herself from noon to about three. She just wasnt programed that way. Also, every swipe of her brush doesnt bring her any closer to a complete work of art; her brush never really touches the canvas. Maybe she just enjoys pretending...? Maybe shes just got OCD and cant decide what color... ever... I dont know. We'll probably never know. But for now, lets just enjoy her "progress."

B Dawggy Dawg Posts: 2,844 Group: Member Member #78 Joined: December 13, 2007	What's interesting is those two guards up near the northern town...Bruma, I think?...that always seem to get in a fight. It looks like they're hunting a deer and one of the guards arrow misses and hits the other guard. Then the start like a shoot off until one guy dies. It's pretty funny, and happened almost every time I started a new character in the game.

The Ace Posts: 3,316 Group: Member Member #9 Joined: December 3, 2007	i think ive seen that... are the guards called something like "imperial woodsman" or something like that? ive seen a couple of those guys around leyawiin i think. same exact thing happened. they hit each other and then get pissed off. its awesome... cause then you get free loot. gasp speaking of free loot! i found a cave last night near Anvil with NO baddies. just straight loot and creepy music. 3 boss chests and a bunch of standard loot crates. i mean it totally worth it if your a high level. the cave has a wierd name. it starts with like... two consonants that dont belong next to eachother. (eg. Hk, Lh, Lk)
