I looked and couldn't find a thread for gaming in general. If you find one, big deal. Sue me. Use this thread to talk about gaming in general. I'm going to lock the Xbox 360 Games thread, because now it is quite unnecessary. And, just to let everyone know, I got milkie last night with my "chicken thigh" joke. It was awesome. So... I just purchased Rome Total War Complete from Steam. I get Rome: Total War Gold Edition, and I get Rome: Total War - Alexander as well. That is three individual games total, all for the so-good-it-should-be-illegal price of $9.99. I am extremely excited... |

oh i never bothered to play it again. maby i will... Does it actually get hard? it annoys me when games do that. you play it once and cant be bothered to do it again. like gears, started doing it on insane and then couldnt be bothered.

You lose the HUD, no more crosshairs, the enemy is smarter, and you have less health.... Yes, much harder, lol. EDIT: Nice purchase Reds, I love Rome:TW. I just never seem to get very far in campaigns lol. Edited by Unpleasant_Assailant, Jul 2 2009, 02:25 PM.

It really definitley is a blatant GTA ripoff. But it's like GTAIV times a thousand. There's a lot more to do and stuff to get and it's got character customizability throughout the game. It's pretty addicting. |

The game I'm currently addicted with is NHL Arcade, a Xbox Live Arcade title. It's 3 v. 3 hockey with no rules and there's a list of players to make your roster from. It also has powerups from big hits with a first to 10 gametype. It's fun. |

I jus got Left 4 Dead on Steam. Braaaaiiins! On the subject of Markus Fenix and his overly muscled pals, I'm beginning to have my doubts about Gears 3. As awesome as the first 2 were, it was clear towards the end of 2 that the developers were running out of ideas. It came to a fairly natural conclusion at the end and if they had killed the queen and not introduced the Lambent then it could have finished there. As it is, it just doesn't seem right. |

That doesn't seem to be a spoiler to me, seeing as they'll make no sense if you don't have the game and aren't actually what happens anyway. But I shall bear that in mind in the future. |

Can anyone recommend me some mods for RTW? I'm looking for something that lets you play as any faction from the beginning. A medieval conversion mod would be really cool as well. |

Indeed I can. But it depends what you want. Do you want a full blown realistic as possible mod? Or more of a vanilla enhancement? Since you want all factions, I'm guessing you don't want a focus on just a few Also, there are multiple medieval mods. Chivalry: Total War Crusader: Total War Rome Medieval As for which one to recommend, take a look at them yourself. Its only three

Yeah, Lettuce I don't care for any realism mods. At least not right now. I just want something that lets me play as all factions. When I had RTW for PC I had such a mod, but that was a long time ago and I can't remember what it was called... |

Unfortunately, it isn't that simple. No mods are just unlock all factions. Infact, you don't need a mod to do that. Just find the descr_strat.txt file in your Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign folder, open it with a text editor, and move all the unplayable factions to playable. You can do the same for the unlockable factions. |
