I'll be giving my Bard a test run ... cause I plan to add a lot of "Place" mods and I need to make sure they are all compatible before I get 100 hr's in.. and find out that everytime I go near xxx I get CTD's cause they clash! With Monster Mod on top of my normal stuff.. they may need immersive patrols! I thought it had an MCM menue, but that could have just been the SLE version.. which is what I'll be using... |

Lexi's comp run is over now, so I looked to add some mods to my very vanilla set up. This is for SSE. Elysium Estates just added and holy crapola look what I've been missing! I thought Lakeview was nice but I've been living like a pauper ;) AFT and SMIM running now as well, so I have some things to play with for sure. I also wanted to try a creature mod for my higher level characters, and looked at Monster Mod but was unhappy with what I saw. Even the "intro" says it is broken, and the "improved" versions seem buggy as hell too. So I looked at Immersive Creatures and liked it, but I need SKSE64, SKYUI and MCM. At this point in my mod understanding of WTH is going on, those things scare me! Yeah, I need to put my big boy pants on and spend a bit of time with Gopher. I know that. Do you have any suggestions for an easy critter or difficulty mod until I get my act together? |

Other than the required mods ( which I know nothing about) for the 1st 3 months i never touched the MCM menu for Immersive Creatures, the only thing I change now is the Ore Guardian spawns and that's cause they can attack during the mining animation. That was a simple uncheck the box...if someone can give good info on SKSE64 and SkyUI...then I'd go for it...it was pretty plug and play. SkyUI gave me no problems in SLE, same with SKSE, but I know they are newish... I don't know 8f they are SSE but Mihails Monsters, they are individual mods so far SLE and might be an option, I was waiting for an "all-in-one" cause I prefer them. |

I don't know, but I've been playing the Monster Mod for quite a while... and if it's broken or badly bugged, I haven't seen any of that in-game at all. It makes things tough as hell... I guess one could call that broken, but isn't that really the purpose of a Monster Mod? The only thing I've ever questioned MOnster MOd on is its determination of some critters as "animals" when actually they should probably be classed as creatures. In short, I like the mod as is. I've also played "Immersive Creatures" in SLE, and frankly I don't believe either is any better than the other for playability. |

That's good to hear Neil. Right now that is on hold as I am trying to get Skyrim to run at all! Empowered with my prowess in getting Elysium, AFT and SMIM to run, and it did, I swear, I installed JKs Skyrim and now the game CTDs after I select continue game. Now maybe that wasn't a good call installing on an existing game but there it is. I select continue game, the game tries to load for a long time and then CTD. I deselected JKs Skyrim in NMM and that didn't work so I uninstalled with NMM and that didn't work. I ran LOOT after each step, and still no go even without JKs Skyrim. Even though I don't look forward to it, it's probably way past time for a clean reinstall of Skyrim. I had a crap load of ITMs and other goodies I never cleaned up, and my folder organization wasn't the best. I think I'll let this settle a bit, check out Far Cry 5 and see if I have screwed up my FO4 with the new mods I have! :) |

There be ghosts and gremlins in my machine. As I was working on Lexi's tally I was checking on UESP and the first page of the competition thread, which is a pretty safe process :) I noticed that when I tried to scroll down the page, the mouse wheel changed the text size instead of scrolling. Okay, didn't think I hit anything, but we'll deal with it. When I go to change tabs, it opens up a new tab, and when I tried to open up that tab it opened another. Let's try to search for how to deal with this. Click on the search field and it tries to make a bookmark. I close all the tabs, get back to a clean desktop and click on Firefox to try again. Oh. Clicking on Firefox, or any icon makes a copy of that icon. Nice. Right click to delete dupes and it says "delete all 5 of these?" and I'm like there aren't 5 copies so I decline. Right clicking on every icon says there are 5 to delete. WTF. On 4 restarts after a full power down/unplug/hit on button/replug the power cord the keyboard isn't working. The 5th try of this routine I have a functional computer, but still no Skyrim. I know stuff happens, but man that worries me when regular computer (non game) "things" go fubar! :scared: |

Hmm. Generally when text size changes it's because you've stuck a finger on CTRL, then scrolled, which (depending on browser) means text gets bigger. The tab thing.... dunno about that. Never had that happen in ANY browser - and I've used a bunch since 1990. I'd suggest opening FF in safe mode (you should be able to access that from the Help menu option). And you might consider setting up a new profile. Or.... just try out PaleMoon - I.... gave up on FF after using it since early beta. PaleMoon is what FF used to be.... before the millennial "prophets of web use" got hold of it. Edited by Serethil, Apr 1 2018, 11:06 PM.

I think i'd see what happens with a different browser (firefox might be corrupted). Then I'd probably get a scan done with Malware Bytes just cuz. |

Requiem changes Skyrim in a way that no other mod does. The way Requiem approaches unleveling the world is unique, since instead of being completely random, or based on the area you are in (leveled zones), Requiem's unleveling is based on enemy type, so its fairly predictable and there are not "zones" that are outright precluded until you get higher level, though certain areas, like falmer caves, dwemer ruins, vampire lairs, etc. may be too hard for most low level characters because of their occupants. Then there is the "rock, paper" scissors" approach Requiem takes to combat, so certain characters will be really good against certain types of enemies from a low level but will struggle against other types of enemies. Then there are all the other changes Requiem makes to bring back the old school roleplaying feeling from past games, of a bygone era. Most likely, you will either love Requiem and not be able to play Skyrim without it ever again, or you will hate it. That seems to be the response most people get when they play with Requiem.
