Browsers hon, not machines. And I don't love anything not a desktop with firefox. In fact, I don't even love the laptop I have that works okay.... because it's a crap HP.... Edited by Serethil, Nov 9 2016, 09:26 PM.

Eh, yah. But the browser (which you can use on any machine - more or less) is not the same as the Chromebook. In any case.... firefox generally works fine everywhere at least for me. |

Sometimes I think I wouldn't mind having a good tablet of some kind. I've read good things about the Chromebook. I look at the Kindle Fire tablets now and then too. |

Eh, I have no use for small-footprint crap. I can sit here all day with a full-size keyboard and two screens. Works for me. Probably would NOT work for me if I had to access somewhere else. |

Well I had the Chrome book in the Semi... hard to put a desk top in one...lol I had a tablet but found it a pain for some things. I also like the Chrome book for searching the web... reason... cost.. $199.00 verses over 1K for my Asus desktop.... I can't replace it anytime soon.. the chrome book, I can. I do have Anti-virus and anti-malware protection,... but.. I don't completely trust it. My Phone uses the chrome browser and most of the "smart phones" I have used do also.. not saying it's the greatest web browser, I know it's not... I'm just used to it. |

Huh. When I worked for the trans co.... most of the drivers (this would have been in 2004 or so) had full size machines in their trucks. Only a couple of the 50+ drivers liked laptops instead - and back then, none of them used phones or tablets for browsing. I don't remember any of them complaining about machine footprint - and most of them had spouses/co-drivers along. Edited by Serethil, Nov 9 2016, 10:24 PM.

hmmm I know people do... but fridge, micro-wave and other various small appliances...all under 750 Watt's. When I asked a couple people I know they said that it could be done, but the vibration would not be good for a desk-top, but that if I really wanted one, it could be done... I cooked a complete Christmas Dinner for Michael and I...and a few other drivers.. in the Semi... Turkey ( breast), Ham, Dressing, cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans, pinto beans ( Michael's favorite)... Cranberrys...rolls... umm desert was store bought Pumkin Pie... Anyway.. it was easier for me.. and I often wrote out stories and emails and such going down the road sitting in the passenger seat. |

Saki, Hair doos Thanks hon....yeah spotted it KS lite...as you said The mod authors are doing a good effort.....but they need...where possible to bear in mind our scrawney mod storage size. I saw one recent player home of over 600Mb....like I would waste all that allocation on just one home....gotta bear in mind all the great smaller mods I might have to give up for that big space waster....so no thanks! I do not know how the 5Gb was arrived at....maybe M$ had to approve it.....but I know it really needs to be 30Gb.... |

Ah, most of our drivers weren't OTR. They didn't need the appliances. Connect was more important for a lot of reasons. Most of our guys ran hay from middle UT to the port in LA. Then they ran hard goods (metals mostly) back. Others ran potatoes and other tenders to northern CA and paper goods back. They all had nice safe berths overnight. No need to lock down or have a full kitchen etc. |

Truck stop food has not gotten better over the years. Rick... have you created a list yet? Put each mod in the order that you think is most important... Some that you would like to try and may not keep others that you know you would want to keep but may be to big. My list was more data used to download than size of mods... but I still have to wait on some thing that I really wanted for a long time. I got Immersive Armors, but Immersive Weapons had to wait about 4 months.... Other thing's were more important to me. Edited by Areial, Nov 9 2016, 11:18 PM.

Firefox for mobile leads to formatting issues, so I don't use it. Which led to my bookmarks ending up mostly on Chrome, because I use Chrome on my phone. And I do most of my web browsing on my phone. |

Areial, No lists yet....but I know I need to do it.....1200 XB1 mods now....theres a useful filtering tool though. I have a good idea of those I want. Apart from the obvious beautifications for her ladyship There are town expansions, extra bandit dens, ai overhauls..open cities and USSEP. Severe weathers...campfire and probably Frostfall. Also fancy Falskar and if any room is left...a host of minor adjusts to things like horses and improved textures. What I won't be getting are the gameplay devaluing cheats....rings of infinite anything...secret doors directly to hard places...extra cash...super potions...etc Also not interested in wacky cartoon stuff in Skyrim...or out of place chars from other franchises. Cheats and funnies are ok ONCE just like most if us try the "fortify resto loop" once for the experience....then its like instantly old and immersion wrecking. Edited by Rick, Nov 9 2016, 11:34 PM.

Rick... True that, I need to make a list myself... or favorite/ track... though I will probably do most of my downloading through Nexus and it as tracking soooo... easy. But as it happen's mine will be beautification... and those thing's allowed in Competition... that's it for now. Reason... the 459 mod's I have downloaded already... Some of which will probably never be ported over. |

So true. And the main reason I'll never stop playing "vanilla" Skyrim. Not to mention that my install plus all my mods is so stable it's like bedrock. |
