For me....I can keep my x360 for vanilla use :) I am pleased to see XB1 now cones in colours other than that glaring white! Imagine playing on a console tucked under the tv....all the time the white shape in your vision periphery. Same is true of the white controller....that has got to be visually intrusive. So now they come in a desaturated deceased blue and drain sludge grey (my descriptors). But now I need to reach 250 quid.....current savings 212.......and trying to extract more cash from Shelly a pound or two at a time is like extracting hens teeth. |

Yeah, I ended up paying around 500 something for this thing. It has a cellular modem in it though so I can just stick a SIM in it and go. |

yeah...LoL... mines not...would be, but I know ....know that some of the mod's I use are only partially compatible... mostly because they change the same world space. Northern Encounters is really bad for that... as it changes sooo much of the Northern part of Skyrim...and yet, I refuse to take it out of my load order....or the other mod's.. depends on the story! Rick My 360 died...so SE is as close as I'll come to vanilla ... and at that, I am hoping that we get a list going of "exceptable" mods for competition... including at least one that adds pants I hate HATE the armored skirt thing... who ever thought of that crap has never had a cold wind blow up his skirt. ( yes I have... standing at attention in the Navy in dress Uniform for an inspection.. Great Lakes ILL...) Tell Shelly you'll be a good boy! |

Depends on the armor. In SE I have the Light Nord Chainmail. I like it. But I didn't like similar stuff in vanilla.... Then again, there's not much armor I really want so far (in SE). I'm.... just not into "full coverage" in this game.... (again, speaking strictly for SE).

Depends on my girl ( or guy) how covered up they are... To me heavy armor is just that, full coverage neck to ankle ... light armor depends on the style of the character.... |

Pants mod? Where? Probably for certain bodies T.T I don't mind cleavage and the like, but legs need coverage man. |

Interesting. I know I'd been looking for pants to use with, for example, Savior's Hide, but nothing exists. Is that one SE compatible? Could be useful for screenies. |

I have a question. Can SSE be set up so it's like a profile, and you can switch back to the old vers by changing the profile in NMM? |

SSE is a separate game. It's managed separately. You can set profiles for it in NMM. |

I use Wrye Bash, rather than NMM (which I consider broken). I launch one copy of Wrye for original edition, and another for SSE, and have multiple profiles under each one. The manager files live in the "Skyrim" or "Skyrim Special Edition" folders under Steam, so they're already separate copies, and the saves etc. are also in separate "Skyrim" and "Skyrim Special Edition" folders under "My Documents". I do the same with Wrye for Oblivion, and the shortcuts on my taskbar use the game icons, as I only launch that way. |

I may have to go to Wrye Bash, because I'm not willing to get the newer version of NMM. I've never used any of the bash apps for the games.... NMM and Profile Manager just seemed more ideal to me. NMM 0.61.23 still works perfectly for vanilla games with Profile Manager, but I don't think it plays nice with SSE. |

The thing that first attracted me to Wrye was the way it handled removing mods, especially in Oblivion with loose files where it kept track of what mod needed which files. If two mods used the same file, and you removed one, then the shared file stayed. OBMM or NMM would delete it, and your game would crash. Then I discovered Bashed Patches, Profiles, and a bunch of other great features. I use it to launch the games, and the CS/CK, and TESxEdit, and stuff, so I know which game I'm working with at any time. MO for Skyrim solves the shared content problem in the wrong way, making multiple copies of things and wasting space. I'm not at all sure it keeps track of whether all those copies are at the same release levels, either. Edited by ghastley, Nov 10 2016, 05:03 PM.

That reminds me: where does one get a copy of the SSE CK, and how big is the download? Well, NMM is using the same sort of virtual install now that MO did - but I haven't had any crashes with it taking out stuff it shouldn't when I uninstall a mod (though that may be simply because I don't uninstall stuff much!) Of course, the game never crashes on me in any case.... And - because of that, I REALLY don't want to tinker. So could I just use Wrye for SSE without issues with vanilla? New game, some old story. Looks like mods were stolen and uploaded to Beth.net once again. |

CK is on Steam, but it's not a "game" so look under the other categories. Since all the big files for the game are the resources, and you already have them, the CK itself is quite small - just the code really. It's MB rather than GB, but I don't recall how few. Yes, you can use Wrye for SSE only. It has no need to take over the world, as it's not selling anything. |

@Kane....Yes.....I trawl ALL XB1 mods and have noticed a few that blatantly admit to being someone elses....with a caveat of...if the real author isn't happy I will take it down....and ONE pretty much saying tough shit its here now! Even with comment leavers saying jeez man your stealing some guys mod. The reason this is happening is.....no punishment for offenders. They should be getting site bans and ip address blockings. But Bethesda won't even allow naming and shaming which would stem the users who care. They take care of reports internally via moderation....meaning zilch consequences. Banned thieves just start up a under a new name.....and its not helped by users like mighty-link who publicly condone the practice in Beth.net mod comments. This is why many authors simply turned away from modding for the wider community....can't say I blame them :( Edited by Rick, Nov 11 2016, 10:34 AM.

I don't blame them either, and yes, Bethesda has no idea what they are doing, apparently. It's really not complicated, and a good start would be to have some moderators dedicated to watching the Mods section. |
