That is the way it is written still...but I think we should remove that part... It made sense for 80hrs, it really doesn't for 40... but Richard has the final say.

Richard??? It's really not enough time...and I'd prefer to keep people interested.
Remove it? Sure, that can be done.

And done it is!

Cool beans.....

So, if Bounty Quests are worth 200 points, but they count as misc quests which are worth 100 points, then we... what, add 100 for each completed bounty quest?

errrrp... I don't think that is what he intended... each quest should only count once...

Edit...but read below

I would guess one would have to keep track of number of bounties completed (via pamphlets collected maybe) then subtract that number from Misc Quests before calculation. e.g. 10 Misc quests - 5 bounties. Then count 5 Misc * 100 and 5 Bounty Quests * 200. :book: that's how I read it anywho. :)

That would be a pain in the A-ss... We'll get a ruling from Richard on this one, but... I think it would be easier to... just keep the 200 points for each "bounty quest" and then add 100 for every misc and side quest. we truly do not need to make it a pain in the butt to count score...

But... our host is the rule keeper...

Hmm... I was actually thinking as Bram. 10 misc quests but 5 are bounty quests, so... Only 5 count as miscellaneous quests and the other 5 as bounty quests.

But yeah, it'd make everything harder so... Hmm... I guess to how Areial said? ("just keep the 200 points for each "bounty quest" and then add 100 for every misc and side quest. we truly do not need to make it a pain in the butt to count score...")

Ugh. Good thing we didn't get any newbs for this round. Rules aren't very fleshed out....

Thanks for the clarifications guys! Jorg the Zombie just cleared Helgen. Luckily, he picked up a battle axe so he did not have any illegal level ups as his predecessor did. He and Ralof are on the way to Riverwood.

Tilda Two-Tongue has arrived at Riverwood. She went with Hadvar, so was able to pick up a 2Hander in the first fight in the Keep (she fist-slugged the guy from behind when he was busy with Hadvar.)

Tilda got a silver ring from one of those first wolves. Why is a wolf wearing a ring? ;)

I considered going with a Breton for the bonuses and resistance, but I haven't played a crazy barbarian in a while. So Tilda is going to be a wild Barbarian-Sorcerer. Probably use a staff for ranged attack, and a bound battleaxe up close.

Brandon the human had a staff... but of course he couldn't recharge it....

Brandon the zombie is moving along... He's cleared the bandits out of the Riverwood area (all but two of them) and gone on to Whiterun, purchased some spells and now just needs to be able to cast them without using all of his magicka each time. I'm not certain why, but he's gaining skill levels in conjuration and illusion much slower than Brandon the human did.

At least this time, when he went through Helgen, he didn't gain unwanted levels in useless weapons. He just let Hedvar and his familiar do the work until he acquired a two-hander.

Brandon the Zombie's first bounty is on Valtheim Towers... He's going to gain some experience before he tries that one though. Just getting to Valtheim can be a trick, depending on what spawns on the road.

EDIT: I DO have one little question though. What about the quests like Amren's where you get paid off in nasty skills, or you have to gain nasty skills (like the alchemist in Morthar) to complete the quest. I guess most of us will just skip those quest?

I'd skip them or get the quest and don't do them or turn them in til almost the end, that way you know what you can absorb points wise.

I'm just skipping them.

I'm kinda wondering how many quests are out there that pay off in skills when done that I don't remember or have never done and you don't find out til you end the quest...

That is why we have the 2 points leeway.. but wiki is a good friend this round. .. I may just stick to bounty quests.. or look up the advantageous misc quests.

Their does have to be s ok me kind of catch ya know...skill...not just the characters with a sword....tactics.

I had a tactic once... It was small, and kinda egg-shaped, and filled with minty flavor...
