I blippin“ love this game. It“s not an exstatic rush to play anymore, but it truly has become my gaming home and I cannot for the life of me imagine dropping it completely. I need to follow my seasonal routines and go about my business in Cyrodiil!

I had a mod for Oblivion called "Midas Magic". The author was a flippin genius, and it was just amazing. I loved the sorta motorcycle thing... you could buzz down those grassy roads at about a hundred and ten... Fabulous!

EDIT: The motorcycle was a robot that was like a transformer.

Here's vid I made showing that vehicle. Bear in mind, I had a crappy computer at the time, so the graphics pretty much suck.

Hey, it doubles as a boat, too... but the mod was primarily about magic of a completely different order.

Oblivion's my favorite of the current five disasters. Haven't touched it much lately but I've been planning on it. My last install eventually fell apart and I decided to just reinstall everything with a more stable mod list, basically killing the games I was running halfway through.

I agree with the notion that Oblivion feels more....homey? It's much easier to play less extravagant characters than in Skyrim, at least.

The soundtrack is probably my favorite so far, too.

Back in the day I used to listen to the soundtrack on youtube. Sometimes after a gaming session :D

It's not an "original" Oblivion experience, but when I finally moved to PC I got to hear Auriel's Ascension for the first time and it honestly made me feel like I was experiencing the game from the beginning all over again. It's probably my favorite track in the entire franchise so far.

It played pretty often too. It was the best for slowly walking the roads of Cyrodiil. ...while wearing ridiculous anime outfits, but still. Oblivion was my first modded TES game, too. I wasn't going to waste it by installing "serious" mods.

I'm told I'm one of very few people who were totally turned off by SI.
Uh, join the club. I played it once, and never again. Blecchh.

Sorry all, but each to their own, yeah? :D

Never played the Shivering Isles...cause I didn't have any of the Oblivion DLC's on 360.

One of the things I enjoyed most about shivering isles was getting thrown in jail... The jailbreaks were epic!

Never did that. Gotta make sure Lothran gets thrown in jail next time he visits the island, but I reckon he has something to say about that :D

I only did that once, and I recall that the weapon you can find isn't leveled, so busting out is harder at higher levels. Of course, you can get a better one from the first grummite, but only if you win. It's presumably a lot easier for a mage, who can't be disarmed.

Sheogorath's realm of Oblivion is fraught with dark comedy. I await with anticipation an accounting of your experiences there. :beermug:
