Neil that's actually why I didn't keep Vivid Weathers in my load order... you need something to make dungeon's brighter... at least light enough to see vague outlines. I have CoT and I've been thinking about adding RLO to it, just the interior part...

This round it's also why I have wearable lanterns.

I had thought that the Khajiit Nighteye would compensate enough, but it did almost no good at all... and that was after I had had brightened Vivid Weather's settings.

EDIT: Eh, what's RLO?

That's odd, I'm using Vivid Weather's too. I set the interior lighting to "Clear" and that made it pretty easy to navigate Brinewater. Heck, I was pulling torches off the walls as I went, to make my sneaking seem more realistic. :P

Eh... There were torches? I barely got inside, took out a bandit outlaw, and then BOOM! Down I went.

Yep, all throughout it. Hm, maybe the difference is my brighter torches mod.

I use ELFx. It makes nights really dark, and really improves interior lighting. Light only comes from actual light sources, so you absolutely need torches in most dungeons.

It also improves the snow and rain, making visibility in storms a real issue. And it adds new shaders for ice and other surfaces.

And it properly takes into account the time of day, so interiors that are partly lit from "outside" (like through windows or the holes in caves) change over time.

I'm (obviously) passing on this round (trying out a bunch of mods), but I'm lurking with interest. Good luck to all of you thieves and scoundrels! :)

Having to use a torch must make it interesting for characters whose only weapon is a bow... :)

Well, most dungeons place enemies near sources of light, so you can see them to fight them. Most of the "beast dungeons" (like bear caves) which have no lighting devices have "daylight holes" that light them well enough during the day. You don't want to go in there at night! :)

What I've found is that ELFx makes most dungeons manageable to navigate and fight in, but you need torches or other light to see into corners where things like chests and containers are often "hidden."

And there are settings to the mod. Hardcore mode makes it very dark, while the "normal" mode makes it just "pretty dark." :)

I'm tempted to make a video showing night fighting with "Vivid Weather" on normal settings... :D

Wearable Lanterns yeah it's kinda...why would I be wearing a lantern while sneaking... but ... Bandit's aren't going to be walking around in the complete dark either.

I plan on taking at least a 3 or 4 day weekend in February and a couple days in March when Michaels parents come out for a visit... hopping to have a better place, so they can stay with us...but, it is what it is.
