Virgo... but same thing.. I swim like a fish, have fallen asleep while floating ... and I'm at my most comfortable in or around water... for more reason's that one. Being a Virgo it should be Earth.. but isn't.

Yeah. Husband's a Virgo.... and seriously, for him Virgo is perfect, and vice versa. He's - totally grounded. His entire life is bounded by earth, home, building, hunting - as a Virgo, he's pretty much the epitome of the sign.

And as a Sagittarius, so am I - temper, to begin with.... It's much better now than 60 years back.... but only because I've learned to bite down HARD on it.

Yeah so is Michael... Truck driver or not, he's the home body.. He fit's Virgo very well.. except temper.. then again, our tempers match and we know when to call a time out and go to our separate corners!

Eh, husband has no temper. It's the only place we have issues. I can storm, rage, scream, shout.... and he just sits there. (Of course, being effectively deaf helps with that, hearing aids notwithstanding....)

It's actually fairly annoying.

Um.... yeah.... I get that reaction. I really do....

In my own defense, I really have to point out that 40+ years back, he did the same.... a LONG time prior to selective deafness.

57 - Raven Rock’s not much better now than it was a decade ago

Var looked around, eyebrows raised. I started to say something, but was forestalled by an officious Dunmer I hadn’t met the last time I was here. “I don’t recognize you, outlander.” And it went on from there, winding up at “We are watching you.”

Since I could tell Var did most emphatically NOT want to say he was Skyrim’s High King, I just kept saying as calmly as I could that we were just looking around, we might find work. The elf just got grumpier. Finally, he ended with the “watching you” business and turned to the captain. We escaped thankfully.

“Let’s get a room for a few days. Then we can do some looking around, and see if the nasty prince will follow along. There’s not much to do here really. Might have been better to go to Cyrodiil...”

“Oh hells no, Tier! Everyone there from guards to counts would know who I am - since I’m told I look exactly like my totally ineffectual father.”

“Ah. Good point. Well, let’s talk to some of the locals. Bound to be things we can do to make it look as if we’re not just on holiday of some sort.”

“Is that what you’ve done in the past when you’ve gone adventuring?” Var’s puzzlement was real, and brought up - again - how little we knew about each other, regardless we’d fallen deep into love.

“Mostly, yes. I’d get a hankering to go somewhere to see something new, and when I got there, I’d see if there was some way I could help out the people who lived in the area. I’m - um - reasonably skilled in uh.... various directions. Like stealth and silence, and weapons-work when necessary. People always - have problems, you know.” But likely, he didn’t know. Hmm. This might be a real revelation to him - and might even give him some insight into our own province and its issues....

He was caught deep in some thought so I let it be. We walked into the market area, and he looked up long enough to read the sign at the inn: “The Retching Netch? You must be joking.”

“Eh, the sense of humor requires - getting used to....” We went in and downstairs to the bar area, where we found the innkeeper. We paid for six days, and he looked - thankful.

“I guess things aren’t so good here? I was here about a decade ago....”

He explained about the mine getting shut down, and no work, and reavers everywhere. With mostly nothing much to eat except meat and ash yams....

“Well. Perhaps there will be things that a pair of adventurous spirits can see too, sera?”

He looked us over. “Probably. Talk to the blacksmith.”

“Now, about our horses? I didn’t see a stable.”

He shrugged. “You could stake them out. Try past the Earth Stone to the north.”

We bought a meal, and wine. I shook my head at Var when he wanted to try the local liquors. His lips quirked, but he settled to the wine and the plate of venison and ash yams.

After, we took the boys out in the direction indicated by the innkeeper, and found a place with enough graze for both at least for the night. We hauled water in buckets for them - no fresh running water here. As for those who might see food, or septims.... well, Lightshadow was apt to take serious offense at anything of that nature.

We returned to the inn, and chose to head for bed early as it was. The voyage had not been.... restful. Tomorrow was soon enough to talk to the blacksmith.

*sigh* Yeah. You know.... I really LOVE Dragonborn (the xpac, not "being" same) - but.... man.... The stuff you have to go through....

Black Books. I REALLY hate Mora. And his gods-be-DAMNED books.

I know... it's just like Dawnguard.. I like them both, but I try not to do them too often.. Somewhat cause they are a pain in the posterior.. but also because I like them and I don't want them to go "stale"... though Mora is a P.I.T.A.

Eh, well.... I find DG a more - objectionable - thing than DB. I am SO not into vampires. Combined with Falmer.... just.... spare me. There is not one thing in that entire xpac that I think is worth the time you spend playing it.

The whole thing sucks. I hope they fired the dev who wrote it.

LoL.. I know we differ on that one... For me the Dawnguard armor is the best looking in the "vanilla" game.. plus I love crossbows... I know I will run a character through it sometime...soon-ish.. as I really love the cave system... the scenery.. etc... the Falmer and Vampire mechanic..not so much..

Ugh. I find the armor just as ugly as any of it from the base game. And crossbows are slow, clunky - and again, ugly. I don't find the FV pretty, and good LORD the nit-noid business of getting through that whole falmer warren.... for nothing really....

Totally NOT fun. I'm hoping I don't EVER think I want to go there again.

Well.... I know I won't want to. I hope I never have a character who wants to.

Eh, I used to eat a little bit of ice cream - like a couple of spoonfuls - either choc mint or fudge choc chip - but damn it was just too cold and too sweet.

Can't do cold stuff in my mouth.
