Oh yeah, ghostery and Avast Internet Security both have that tracker blocked... I was just wondering what it was doing here is all. Somebody had to have let it in, eh? Did you hear that today is goin down as "the day the world got hacked?" Europe, Asia, and the US all hit by a massive ransomware hack. on all windows platforms XP and later. |

Yeah.... It's doing the same thing here it does anywhere. The people who run this freeboard system have adware in place, lots of it based in twitter crap. This is why I hate freeboards. But I can't host this forum without censoring. Which is why we have freeboards. Vicious circle. [Oh. Ugh. Um. Whoever has a few bucks to keep us ad free needs to paypal it to me at femgamer1@gmail.com - gonna need to refresh the payment before much longer. I'm putting in $50, please add what you can.] |

I sent you $50 through Pay Pal... I can't tell you exactly how much I hate PayPal, but my account had been restricted since 2012 because I refused to agree to their terms and conditions... |

Um. What? WHY would you do that??? Okay, yeah, I get you don't like ads any better than anyone - but jeez sweetie - you should have left it to after you got a job. Serious. |

Well... I didn't send it because I hate ads... to be honest, they don't really bother me. I sent it because a friend asked me for help, eh? It's not a big deal. Money is something you have til you don't, but it has no real value of its own. Its only value is in what you can do with it to help life be a little better for your friends and family. |

Ah. Okay. From that perspective..... I - get it. Honestly, I CAN afford to pay for ad removal for however many years we're here (well.... until husband dies and my income is halved....) Honestly? If no one sent me funds, I'd still front the money. I HATE ads., I understand why free hosts have them.... but they offend my sensibilities. Thank you. I appreciate it. |

109 - I tried not to laugh.... I really did. And I didn’t manage it. Neloth muttered and mumbled as we handed over the rest of the goods. And then he did some sort of - mumbo jumbo - magic passes over it all. “So wait - are you checking to see if it’s all real?” He went red over his cheekbones, and then pale, and ground his teeth. And that’s when I started laughing. “Neloth Telvanni. I am an honorable person. I got you what you asked for. The first load is yours - a fee. This load - you will make my shrine lamps, or you will have my princes and Talos Stormcrown to answer to!” Of course, it didn’t come across as a stern warning because I was laughing so hard. Var backed me up though. “Perhaps, Neloth, you aren’t aware that I’m Tier’s betrothed? And.... I’m Skyrim’s High King. I suggest you not push her any further - and certainly, you should consider whether you want to make me angry.” Neloth glared equally at both of us. “Well then. Get out of here so I can do what I’ve been paid for. Heroes - useless, and greedy!” After floating down from his aerie, I tottered out of the mushroom, gasping for breath because I was laughing so hard. Var was amused as well, though less so than I. So once I actually managed a full breath, I said “Why the frown?” “I don’t trust him. Well, I don’t trust mages period. But him - he’s....” Ah. “Eh, he’s trustworthy to a point - but I’ll have a chat with the princes. Perhaps they’ll be able to.... oversee.” My princes chuckled gently, and agreed to keep track of the tricksy mage.... |

Heh, Neloth reminds me of a friend I had once. I trusted him implicitly... as long as I had the point of a knife at his... uh, snowberries... ;) |

110 - A week at home, then back to Tel Mithryn The courier had brought a note from Neloth, saying the lights were done, but he’d have to install them as I wasn’t a decent-enough mage to do it myself. I rode up to Solitude to see if I should plan to go back alone - in case Var wasn’t able to get loose from being “kingly”. If he couldn’t, I’d see if Melki wanted to come along. And that’s how it turned out - Var was impatient with the “business” of the province, but couldn’t get out of it. So here we are, Mel and me again, riding out of Raven Rock. We’d arrived in the early afternoon, so figured to camp at dusk and make Neloth’s mushrooms by mid-morning the next day. “The ship was a great idea, Tier. I wasn’t fond of Gjalund either, and - well, that tub of his....” “I know. Not to mention none of them could swim! Anyway, I might be thinking about going into trade - there’s a lot of business we could do with Solstheim....” He glanced at me oddly. “What business?” “Horses of course. They don’t seem to be bothered by the ash, which was my biggest concern. Sure the island’s not too big - but a horse just makes everything easier!” He shook his head. “How’re you going to manage the horse trade from Morthal to Raven Rock?” “I’m working on it! I’ll let everyone know when I’ve got it sorted.” We set up a quick camp just at sundown. I’d brought along sandwiches and ale, so that was dinner. And breakfast. Just before mid-morning, we rode into Tel Mithryn. Dismounting, we ground-tied the boys and walked up to Neloth’s door, then knocked and entered, and floated up his odd “stairway”. Mel looked queasy - not surprising, he’d always disliked anything smelling of magick! “Well girl. Where’s your man?” I gritted my teeth. “He’s in Solitude being the High King. This is my brother Melkioran. We’ve horses, you don’t. We’ll meet you at the base of Frykte Peak. Keep in mind it’s a long climb, and it’s exposed to the wind and the cold.” He sniffed, then hmphed. “I’m sure I’ll be able to deal with it. After all, I do live here, girl!” I looked down my nose at him. “Yes. Well, we’ll see you when you arrive.” He seemed a bit offended, but I didn’t give a damn. “C’mon Mel.” We floated back down, and left quickly. Four days. It took the bastard four days to show up. And then another day for him to look around, and a second day to get him started on the installation. He shooed us off the peak - I figured he didn’t want us to watch his magick at work - as if either of us would have had a clue! I mean, I could just about light a candle with the little flame cantrip if I tried really hard.... The afternoon of the third day, he descended and waved me up the path. Mel chose not to follow, and apparently Neloth was going to wait around until I said I was satisfied. So I made the climb, noting some areas that probably could use more railings. And when I reached the peak, my princes were “there” (not physically of course, but I could sense them) and I could tell they were really happy - because Neloth had done a bang-up job after all! Meridia’s Lamp gleamed with the brilliance of the sun, as if a diamond had gathered the light and was content to shine her radiance upon all. And Azura’s Lantern on the opposite side of the peak held all the glory of sun and moon at dawn and dusk, blessing the times sacred to her with that light. ‘Thank you Tiercel.’ Their voices were joined in a harmony that was so beautiful I felt tears flow. ‘You are our daughter, having done everything you promised, and in such a wonderful way. Our blessings will follow you the rest of your life. And if Sovngarde doesn’t suit, well, you may spend time in our realms if you like.’ I stumbled my way down the path, wiping tears. I walked up to Neloth and kissed his cheek. “Thank you. It’s perfect, and my princes are more than happy.” He seemed dumbstruck. His hand went to his cheek, and then he flushed. “Well. I’m glad you’re pleased girl. Try not to bother me again.” He stomped off into the day, apparently heading for home. I shook my head. “Well, brother mine. Tomorrow we’ll head for home. I’ll have to talk to Crescius before we go - there’s a few more places that need railings up the path. But I need to get home, so I can get on with figuring out where to put Talos Stormcrown’s shrine.” |

That was lovely, and funny...imagine Neloth disturbed over a kiss of gratitude, LOL. Love seeing him disturbed about anything actually, the arrogant twit. :D  Sis, bravo! |
