It is very nice, Are. It was the first housing mod I checked out when I got the SSE. It was my base house for my mod tester. |

Yeah, and the only "advantage" item in it is the bow, which, I think, does indeed have the Elven level damage. And one might argue that the advantage of the bow is offset by the disadvantage of not getting "Well Rested" from the bed. I've always justified using it in competition on the basis that: 1. I don't use the bow in competition. 2. You have to do Embershard to get it, so you already have cleared a place with a bed and storage. |

Why not? If the higher multiples are for increased difficulty... Suppose that you (and everyone else) had the option to build a character and develop it for 15 or 20 hours of your choosing before the competition even starts? I think we all have the ability to take screen shots, so at the end of your 20 hours take a screenie (or 3) of your level, skill set and perks, and quests completed. That way everybody would know you hadn't been doing the competition quests and such early. It might be interesting to play higher level characters in competitions, instead of newbies every time. |

It might be fun to play a higher lvl character.. to start out. Of course to do it that way, we would have to start a bit later, Sah and Adella have their grudge match going on.. and it would not be fair to them.. I'm sure both have went past the 20 hr mark by now.. and might ( probably are) using more than the 6 allowed skills perked and 2 freebies. so couldn't save. It need's the majority to agree... |

The other thing that could be done, along that line, is to use an alternate start. If you used LAL's "own property" start, you'd still be starting at level 1, with no skills developed, but with a semi-complete house and some minimal gear. That would give those of us with less time a chance to get a similar "head start," without doing any of the round's quests. |

I just used LaL for the beginning of a test run. Another option for the start to consider is the one I chose; start as an inn patron in Riverwood. |

I mine every ore vein I see. Usually by the time it takes me to walk from one city to another, I'm at the carry limit with ores and ingredients. |

I've got one of those compulsive miners right now. She started with an LAL "surprise me" dump into Solstheim, picked up that special ancient nord pickaxe, and struggled to earn her passage back to the mainland. That ore gets heavy, one lump at a time. |

I used to have chars who were compulsive miners... but random "Ore Guardians" broke me of that habit. they're roughly like having a Storm Atronach pop up right behind you while you're digging ore... but instead of lightning, they have a lethal sandstorm effect. |

I'm struggling with a 6th as well... I changed my mind about heavy armor... fickle I know... Light, 2h, archery, smithing... and that might be all I perk.. with Block so it's not a penalty and I was thinking maybe sneak.. for the same reason. ... cause just getting too a 2h weapon she has to use sneak a bit. Conjuration is a good one, even if you only get enough skill ( and magicka pool ) to summon all three Atonachs... cause in an emergency get away situation... |
