I have actually run characters with out either...never going over the 2 point "freebies"... This particular build is one of my favorites and I generally don't use over the 4 skills.. but being that their is a penalty, i'll add the two most likely to cause it.. and use them, but probably not perk.. or not until the rest are perked well... Heh.. I generally only perk the center "diamond" on 2h and the bottom of armor, cause I don't do helmets... so I got the "toggle helmet" mod.. which has everyone's helmet invisible atm.. lol |

I have two RP builds on 2h, both use Ebony Blade. One uses Heavy and conj. Can probably pick up that or sneak. Derped on a new character and am waiting on the cart ride... |

PC.... Invisible Helmets Not exactly the same...but... Running A'Riya through Helgen atm myself... and a shortie...cause no 2h yet.. A'Riya's fight scene it's longer than need's be.. but still short. Yeah no weapon... Expert... |

Should "accidentally" kill off one of the Stormcloaks if you don't want to start with the Imperials. I think you end up with more gold that way, going with Ralof. At least I always seem to. |

LoL...might have to, but it's not necessary if all three live on their own in the torcher room, cause they will die in the room where they "wait" to see if anyone else show's up.. ( at least one will...hopefully the right one!) Imperial armor sell's for more...mostly. Also has better stat's, by 1 point... but I want the "free room and board" for going with Raylof... The smithing stuff is nice, but she will do a lot of leather and fur tempering, cause with Immersive creatures... mining is... dangerous... So she need's a decent AR and 2h skill before going there... Then get the "training" from Ivor.. and if need's must... steal some of those ingots, but that probably won't be necessary. buying works.. get "fine" or "Superior" and then go mining, but 2h, armor and archery has to be pretty good also. Yeah I'm not sure about having a ranged skill. I need alchemy for invisibility potions for that build I'm running. Or switch for archery for a ranged and attempt to level illusion. I don't know yet. Build itself does not have a ranged skill. Raven Blade I attempted it before but never got to where it gets good because I lost interest quick. |

Very interesting build... So I am going to go with "Ranger" or my version their of... -2h ( with Immersive weapons eventually a katana style.. ) -Light Armor ( eventually a leather/ chain-mail style, when not in CW uniform) -Archery.. ( best bow available at the time) -Smithing ( someone who spends time in the wood's alone, should know how to repair and sharpen and create) **either un-perked or very lightly perked -Alchemy ( spend time in the woods, you should know what's edible or poisonous) -Sneak ( walk quietly through the woods) Testing.. aka finding various bad guy's to fight, show's that I don't use block 2h much... more with the bow to bash if a bad guy get's to close... aka.. I'll have to switch quicker! But I think that is the way I am going to go.. I bumped her test run to Master.. I gotta see how well she does in the "leather" style armor... |

errrrrg! def not Master... Master + need to mine ore + Ore Guardian = dead very very quickly... So I'll run at Expert... it was still a tough battle... ( which I did try to record... didn't work...) F9 is quick save?... yeah, also the default button for FRAPS to start stop recording.. :ugh: so I changed it to F11.. but I guess I didn't do it right...cause.. no movie clip.. gotta work on that... the "shorties" when I 1st did it worked...but.. gotta keep on! |

Oh... well that would be a good reason in game for the "loading, can't load, save file corrupt" and no recording... :rofl: 'Tellin ya, I don't use the mouse and keyboard for the game... couldn't remember what as what.. kept getting killed.. said "bump it" and got a controller! |

I set Afterburner to F12. I have been trying the 2h build and it's not going well again. Anything with a 2h wrecks me. I hate buying training. |

Well, I just recieved a shock... Playing on Master, doing Fort Hroggstad to join the legion. I was able to clear the exterior of the fort okay... but the interior with the bandit chief and the beds... It's just not survivable at all. Go in the only damned door, guy standing by the fireplace turns around and I take him out with firebolts. duck into cover on the left behind the fireplace, waiting for magicka to regenerate. Guy comes down from upstairs, walks around to stand in front of me, and... my firebolts pass right through him. whip out mace and shield, and he summons a ghost bandit chief, just as two other ghosts run into the room. I run out the door to the exterior with about two health points left. Go clear out the other interior where the dungeon is, then return to the first room. As the room loads, the ghost with the war hammer finishes the swing he started twenty minutes earlier, and inst-kills me. No matter how many times I reload, he kills me each time before I can even move. I can see the whole room, now there are the three ghosts, the guy who summoned the first ghost, and a bandit chief in full heavy armor carrying a hammer. They are all starting their swings as the first ghost drops me with one hit. I'm going to do away with OBIS... screw that! I don't mind tough, but impossible is something else again. |

Ugh that mod sounds like sheer hell. I might give a few difficulty mods a go, but that's definitely a no go. I have enough trouble with bandits. |

I tried two invisible Helmet mods for XB1.... Both rubbish.... One let you craft a player only invisible helm....great...except it was only leather....useless for protection even smithed up. The other was a replacer mod.....so no npcs wore helmets....utterly ridiculous for soldiers. Some mod makers just don't understand how to fulfill a simple need! What I do now for Adella's regular run is use the "BiG Helmetless combat perks" mod. It lets you get the 'Well fitted' perk gain when you have the requisite skill, but without the need for head gear to be worn. Of course that means if you leave the helmet off...you still lose the Armour Rating of a helmet. As a compensation of sorts...the mod boosts your weapon damage by about 5% if helmets are not worn. Its a good compromise, but all we really want is the simple toggle off helmet visibility.... |

The problem, Rick, is that the helmet toggle we all used before SSE requires SKSE to work. The closest thing I could think of that would work, is like AFT's "no helmets outside combat" script, which automatically unequips helmets on followers outside combat. You'd still see your helmet during combat with a script like that. The other option is... make helmets invisible. That's it. |
