You can reach the mage without lockpicking the cage, fyi.

You mean you can activate him through the side of the cage? Hunh, I never tried that... course, never really had any reason to, since lockpick has always been a freebie. Doesn't change much though, since I can't open all those other chests without lockpicking or cheating anyway.

Yeah, I knew how to become Thane in Whiterun, but what I didn't know is what is considered a "thane quest" in Whiterun. Helping the priest in the Hall of the Dead or getting Amren's sword back, or helping old lady Graymane get her son from the Thalmor... In any other hold than Whiterun, they would be thane quests where you help the citizens, eh?

I'm also having trouble deciding if clearing Red Belly mine in Shor's Stone is a thane quest for Riften or not. In the end, I just decided not to do any of those except the Hall of the Dead. That's because I did Andur's Amulet without it occurring to me that it might be a problem. :)

Whiterun it's the Dragonstone and Dragon.. that I believe is all.

I sent off a PM to Richard.. hopefully.. I hate that I can't see them as "sent"...

There are no Thane quests in Whiterun.

You're just given it, unlike every other hold.

Well, that IS why the 360 and ps3 players can get the house during prep... they don't have as many options.

DR's appt tomorrow for Michael, then work. ..so I won't get in any play time...but that's ok... just hoping Richard can get the thread going today... at tonight would be my only chance til Saturday.

You can tell a PM has sent if it's shown in the "Archive" section in the sidebar. Normally that sits at 0, when you've just sent a message, it shows as 1.

Unless you're like me and archive all your messages. ><

Well, I don't archive all mine - I just let them sit there in Inbox. As long as we're not on a tight data restriction it shouldn't matter.

Nothing showed, so I resent...and tracked it....lol. but if Richard can't get to it today, I will... I hate being pushy, but as people have already started their preps... we need the thread up... so that they can start with up dates.

You have done a tremendous job with organising this round Trace. Whether I enter or not....I want to say a huge thank you for all the effort you have put in and I am sure everyone will agree.

Thank you :hugs:

Incidentally, for those still thinking about their "classes," it's worth pointing out that Skyrim does have defined Classes for NPCs, UESP Class Chart. The chart shows which skills are perked for each NPC class.

I'm thinking of entering as Mudcrab Class. ;)

Lol mudcrab.
Look closely at that chart, and you'll see that the lowly Mudcrab has three perks in Archery. That's a head-scratcher. :D

Maybe that's why that crabbie that killed neil was so tough!

Well, that really does give rise to a question about that leaping ability they've been demonstrating. If the leap is described as a ranged attack, archery perks would apply, eh?
