I have to ask about things like Dawnguard Delayed and such... Because if I was running SLE for comp, I'd just not enable Dawnguard. Poof, no vampires. I don't have that option on SSE so I use a mod that disabled it until 49, then the vamps start attacking. I do not use Run For Your Lives and the like, stupid NPCs play stupid games and win stupid prizes, I just don't and never have liked the DLC, but with SSE I can't disable it. Normally I'd consider it a -, as it makes things "easier", but you can't do *anything* Dawnguard related until the level the mod lets it start at.. in my case, it's delayed til 50. Vamp attacks start one level earlier. This is essentially no different than disabling the DLC in SLE and reenabling it later. |

Sakiri, I can see that going both ways. Their hasn't been a rule that one "must have all DLC's active"... cause it's possible not everyone has them to begin with.. in which case disabling it isn't an advantage over say 360, where you can just un-check it.. Poll worth question! and I'll ask! |

Kane, wasn't sure if you knew, but the current version 1.06a puts back weight for Septims. :bonk: I guess it would be immersive to not carry around 1000000 septims, so if you do that is about 1000 weight units. |

Poncho, I put your mod's on the list. The Floating Markers one.. that I put as a Null or case by case.. it's fancier but vanilla has markers over NPC's. Bram... yeah.. going to buy a house it...a P.I.T.A. Edited by Areial, Jan 26 2017, 11:54 AM.

Assuming that Dawnguard Delayed simply postpones the beginning of the DG questline, but allows the other DLC content (like Lost to the Ages), then it's a clear advantage, just like When Vampires Attack. This is different from the situation where a player doesn't load the DLC, and that extra content is also not there. |

Why I put it to a poll... LoL... we all view thing's differently.. but yeah, that's pretty much the way I would personally put it... I play devil's advocate .... a lot.. or neutral... |

I honestly don't know, because I ignore that stuff. I can give it a try on my current playthrough to see if lost to the ages works, but I was under the impression it requires DG mq to start. |

Not having vampires assassinating you in cities is certainly an advantage over someone playing SSE, who can't disable it otherwise, not just not have it installed. I have no desire to redl SLE for comps just so I can avoid lvl 14ish master vampire random "whoops restart because RNG". |

No, it doesn't require DG MQ to start. I play LTTA on every girl, and none of them ever start the DG MQ. In SSE, I have that lovely mod set to not start it until level 90, which none of my characters will ever see, but they all can and do run LTTA. In fact, I haven't even seen Durak in SSE yet, so he's not even wandering around until someone gets to that level! |

I just double checked the mod page. I just got tired of level 14 gankfests in cities or stables (Whiterun...). For level 5, those dogs are BRUTAL. |

You can use some mods, you just want the difficulty mods to out weigh the advantage mods. Or if you are really only playing along for fun, it really doesn't matter. I try to keep more pluses than minuses, so no one thinks I'm planning an easy game... truthfully unless people play the exact same way you do with the same set up... they don't really know. |

Not exactly what I meant... I play for the fun, the community. ..not really to win...so it really doesn't matter what my mods are...except that I don't want people to think I play a very simple game.... but I do put up my mod list, I haven't got it for the next round though. |

I don't see mine changing yet. I might pick up a follower mod but that matters not as I don't use them in comps. |

I would agree regarding SkyUI, except... I carry different items to equip under different circumstances... If I encounter a dragon using ice breath, I don't want to wearing my fortify fire resistance equipment. So I change, right? With SkyUI I change those items with the push of one key. Yes, I know, time stops while you're trying to sort through the three thousand items in you inventory trying to find the ones you want, but... if you forget an item, or don' happen to see it, all the time in the world won't make the slightest bit of difference. As an illustration, I just took Squishy through Forsaken Cave, and it was a struggle on Master. I needed every bit of advantage I could get, and... It was only after returning to Windhelm to sell off my stuff, did I happen to see my "Hide Helm of Minor Destruction". I really could have used that reduced cost for my fire rune and firebolt spells... I might not have had to trust in fleet feet to survive. If I'd had SkyUI, I wouldn't have forgotten it, because I wouldn't have had to remember it in the first p[lace. I'd have just pressed a hotkey, and it all would have been equipped. For me, that is an inherent advantage. Perhaps I'm the only person on the planet who has this issue, I don't know. As long as nobody minds me having that advantage, I'm cool with it, eh? :) Edited by neildarkstar, Jan 27 2017, 07:13 PM.

I use a 360 controller... only have the same hot-keys as a 360... even though I have SkyUi.. For me it's not an advantage in the same way, it allow's me to have the MCM menu, which allow's me to tweak my mod's..but the only time that's needed is at the start in Mara's room ( AS-LaL ) and I make sure it's all "vanilla" settings. Then I never touch them as long as the competition is on. I do have a mod that allow's 260 controller and mouse and Key board at the same time, it's never out of my load order.. it's also never used....except for animations.. not even in regular RP's.. Pictures... But It can be an Advantage mod over 360 or PS3... and ATM over x-vox 1 and PS4.. but they will get it. |

Areial, I haven't a clue what you just said... :) I've never owned a 360, or indeed any type console. No PlayStation, no Atari, no Nintendo, though I did have an abacus at one time, so I don't know a thing about them. The closest I ever came was that I bought a joystick specifically for playing Battlefield 1942, and Jane's Flight Simulator. You just can't fly a plane with a keyboard... :) |

I use a 360 controller on the PC.. it doesn't allow for more "hot- keys" than playing ON a 360.. Other than that... pretty much just rambling.... |
