Round V questions that need answers... Yeah I know...one question.. but I'll get it...

Any question's you would like added.. or answers..let me know!

So what we have so far:

*Premise: "Hero of Skyrim" ( Civil War & Thane quests only count to points)

* Your build based on "classic" builds.. ( 6 skills perked plus Lock-picking and Speech not perked)

---- Still being debated...voted on-------

* House: 4/3 ... with Home owner start having the most votes

*Prep time ( other things depend on this being voted yes)
- Yes, 4/3 2 plain yes.. 2 for yes, but no multiplier
- 500 point bonus for "complete vanilla start"
( ^^^ from the cart???? or time wise???)
- to use prep time minimum difficulty
3 Expert
1 Master
2 Legendary
- Allow 360 and PS3 players to get Thane of Whiterun and buy Brfeeze home during prep time 4 to 1 ...with a Riverwood start
- Use an Alternate Start...yes with no clear majority

* Immersive Jewelry...2/1 advantage mod

*Mod that delays a or prevents DLC ( or quest-line) from starting..
-Advantage mod... 2/1 yes... 1 whaaaat ( this was directed at PC players :-/ )

Still need's to be discussed...
-Time frame
- points for Quests
but don't think those need a poll....

Some Classic builds

Hm, I picked no for house mods, after I thought about it. Reason being, is that we should consider PS3 and 360 players. I know that Thorny (for example) was interested in joining a round, but is playing the 360 version.

I voted Other. I'm not really crazy about the head start idea, but willing to accept it, providing that if one chooses not to use it, one is awarded a point bonus. I also think that there should be a minimum difficulty requirement for anyone using the prep time, which is essentially an opportunity to "start" with a heavily buffed character.

I do think it's absolutely essential to compensate any player who chooses to start their playing time at level 1, in the cart.

I also voted for Mickey Mouse. I like Mickey.

Yeah their IS that aspect... IF we do the 20 hr ( as in it get's voted in) a concession could be made for PS3 & 360 players to get Thane of Whiterun and buy Breeze home.. as part of the prep...

Which I can also add as a question.. ??

The problem with the extra questions is that you can only give one answer...
For instance, I WOULD have said:
1. c

2.b (I would have said Master but since I'll be playing that level anyway, why force others to do the same.

3.a

Yep, ALL of them...

Would one of the choices in the poll for prep time would work out something like?

I got my character prepped in 17 hours and started the competition? - a very simple scenario.

I prepped my character as I went and did some of the competition that I knew didn't involve me getting killed. - much more complicated to track.

Would someone on Adept really take much prep? I know I don't usually worry on adept and just play and do from the start. Once I hit Master though I really do need some prep.

Prep time I think is fine, but it's the tracking that may become onerous and/or restrictive. I think telling anyone that they have to do their prep in fixed block of time or anything like that would suck the fun right out of the competition.

P.S. I voted for Mickey because I got an error message if I chose more than one box, but I should have been able to choose multiple when they're boxes and only one when they're radio buttons. /shrug

I think I'm confused... I took it that one COULD use up to 20 hours (though perhaps 15 would be better) not that you HAVE to use the whole thing...

I mean, if I want to only use 15 minutes of the time, and still take the penalties, it's on me. Just like when we used to allow tough mods like Deadly Dragons as a personal choice in no mod comps.

You should.. it say's 2 answers when I edit it... <sigh> I'm not that good with polls...

Edit: Hopefully I got the poll's sorted..

Bram.. it's. you have 20 hr's.. but you don't have to use it .. so you can use 5 hrs.. and have 15 left.. then start the competition and have the 40 hrs to play.

@Neil my only point was that prep time at lower difficulty levels might be more complicated to track because it's "as you go" whereas on Legendary for example you prep for a long period before you go out into the world.

I don't know, maybe I'm over thinking it. :bonk:

Oh boy, zombie puppies... but they always clog up the drain when i give them a bath...

I dunno Bram, i usually just go out into the world on Master and Legendary. that's my idea of "prepping". The point of the extra time for me is not staying in Riverwood or that area, but being able to allow the character to progress naturally without the pressure of time forcing me into combats I'm not ready for.

Say I'm walking along, and I stumble across the Scavenger dude (happened today). If I'm not in a hurry, I'd simply run off and avoid the conflict. If I'm in a hurry because of limited time, I'm going to try to take his rude butt out with the trash looking for a combat level raise...

Bram... Prep can be done within the 20 hr's..before the competition starts.. BUT you can't do any of the competition quests ( except 360 & PS3 players if that's voted that way and that is only Than of Whiterun)

So you can go gather ingredients, make armor... dungeon dive ( as long as no C.W. or Thane quests are done) basically get your character as prepared for the world as you can in 20 hr's or less.

I'd also like to point out that the extra time is also another 20 hours for the game to try to kill your character....

Not a Problem Sis.. I could probably have made it a bit simpler, had I taken the time and really thought of questions.. but I am horrible at poll's... I do like this poll system, you can add questions... so if anyone has idea's... I can add it!

Well, there's always two sides to every option. I don't "play" - so even though I read, I didn't really get how complicated this could be.

Still, even a very complex poll should be able to give a direction - and then you can refine it so you know what needs to be stated for the game.

Pretty much.. and we are making it more complicated.. but also, funner I think. As most have been doing these competitions for years.. we have done a lot of the same things.
