Wait until you start looking at mods.... *snerk* You know, I always loved the way Ob looks. Yeah, the graphics aren't technically as good as Skyrim's, but *shrug*.... |

Me too! I thought it was beautiful from the get go, when I first played it on 360. Just couldn't find time to play between Fallout and Skyrim. I already started looking at some mods. Mostly just the top ranked ones. |

Me too, tbh. Considering the hardware I thought it did really well. The trees especially. Even if they're mostly flat textures, the way they're utilized makes them look pretty lush and lifelike. It wasn't until I got on PC that I noticed that they actually move with the wind and rain. Great stuff. |

You know, I started Skyrim on the same machine I played Ob on for a lot of years. It wasn't a beast, but it was hefty enough to run Skyrim with everything maxed except shadows. Not too bad for a functional antique.... |

Miro, Lothran....in the painting. You might know I have a penchant for getting outside the Devs intended world space...well. Yes I have been outside the painted world...it aint easy mind....I found just one tiny 'crack' in the invisi barrier around the loaded cell and got through to a vast desert beyond. Incidently....in Skyrim...the Riften Alchemist, Elgrim, makes an off the cuff remark about painted troll fat being hard to come by ;) Message ends.... Edited by Rick, Aug 2 2017, 02:50 PM.

So rare is painted troll fat that there only have ever existed 6 samples of it, in all of Tamriel. :) |

Well.....six dead Troll's worths initially........but in the hands of a skilled alchemist it becomes a few hundred thin slivers.....enough to act as an experimental reagent in a great many mixtures. Of course over the intervening 200 years, those samples get used...or lost in dusty chests or disposed of as the under valued final belongings of some lately deceased alchemist. In any event....there can't be many left for purchase now.... |

Only cleared the Kvatch gate so far. I ignored the one near Bruma while I was escorting Martin. |

I might have had a mod that prevented them. Or maybe it was an alt-start mod - I used various of those. |

I liked the puzzle of figuring out which way to go, as they got harder and more complex.. not that they were all that bad, but it was still fun.. but like I said, the 1st 2 or 3 times through the MQ.. after that, I avoided them. |

As I recall, there were only 5 or 6 layouts for the Oblivion realms. The ones where you had to use the tunnels always screwed with me, because I inevitably walked right past an entrance! |

I like the Oblivion Gates. Several of the "worlds" have two entrances, and if you go in one gate and out the other, you end up in a completely different part of Cyrodiil. I did all 60 possible gates with one character. And that particular character, Phoebe (who is still alive and well, after some five years) also did all of the faction quests, DLC, daedric quests, etc. I think she has close to 900 hours of play time. In many ways, she is my equivalent of Rick's Adella. |
