Hello Trav :)
Yes, of course. This thread kinda shadows the Beth.net 'Adella's Trial' thread.
I will add you to the list of intrepid participants on Beth.net....but your updates and progress can certainly go here!

Welcome to the most gruelling ultimate survival experience available ;)
Good luck
The Contessa and I will be watching :)

I'm sorry to hear that you had to start over. 200 hours is a lot of time. I'm sitting at 26 hours right now, but that's because i only have time to play in weekends.
On the other hand, Sah is nailing down the questlines. She already completed CoW, the Companions and now Dark Brotherhood. Main quest is almost done as well.

I'm still out there spreading fear in the hearts of those lowly bandits (literally).
The next video is huge, almost 5 hours long, but i feel so little was done.

The massacre continues at Fort Greenwall and Faldar's Tooth.
On my way to Riften, the guards at Sarethi Farm saw me and a dragon decided to check on us, but the he got away and i was able to run out of sight just before my Beast From ended, so my reputation is intact.

Dinya Balu sent me to Markharth to help a mature, but not so polite scientist. He did let me visit the excavation site, with the condition to kill a giant spider residing within. We all know this is a good source for materials (over 300 dwarven metal ingots). The problem is that it's infested with Falmers and even the weakest one pose a threat to my character (0 magic resistance and 0 poison resistance).
I left Nimhe alive (thanks to the Voice of the Sky) hoping to throw in some falmers and enjoy the show, but that didn't work (spiders and falmers tolerate eachother), so i had to came up with some strategies like taking them one by one or finding a safe spot, but the best one is just watching while this falmer jumps over the edge.
A short while inside this massive ruin, my carry weight was at it's limits, so i headed back to Markharth and crafted some dwarven bows, but this wasn't a good solution, so i decided to store everything in a chest until i'm done.
After about two hours, i finally reached the end, i activated the automated defense and it was time to take all the hard earned dwemer metal.
On my way out, i also killed Nimhe.
The rest of the video is a long and boring walk back home and some crafting. Unfortunately i didn't had enough iron ingots to use all those dwarven metal ingots, but i know where to get them and it's quite close since Dinya Balu will send me to the Whiterun Thundra for the last part of the quest.

Welcome to our little party, Trav

Trace...Adella feels 'thank you' :)

Wow AD!
You really like to push your luck don'cha. I refer to the Falmer fight...where your health was about 10% and the Falmer was at 80%+

Seriously mate....that is gonna end your run.....just one extra hit is all it needs!

But great for edge of the seat video ha! ;)
.....How come Nimhe was kinda ignoring you and the Falmer fighting right in her den?
For poison resistance, the easiest guarranteed solution is to brew up a potion....Garlic and Grass pod, or thistle, or mudcrab chitin any two of those will give you resist poison :)

You're right Rick, it was way too dangerous now that i look back, but right there, i felt like i could beat the that Falmer.

On the first contact i had a poor performance because i was used to bandits, but falmers have a longer reach (they jump forward when they attack), so my step back strategy didn't work. Also poison gets you even through Block.
There was a shout failure as well. My UF just wouldn't work. You can hear me switching shouts trying to get it to work while the Falmer lands two hits.

With all the above out of my way, i adapted my strategy to beat him. I used the pillar for cover and i attacked only when i had enough stamina to stagger him. Trying to dodge those fast attacks without the Conditioning perks is almost impossible, a lesson i had to learn quick in order to survive.
Even if i would've died there, i only have 26 hours into this playthrough, so Helgen is not so far behind.

If i think back, i lost over 40 hours back when the Briarheart killed me (Frost Cloak+Deep Freeze perk and the velocity of Icy Spear resulted in a nice raggdoll effect), but that's still nothing compared to hundreds of hours you lost.
This reminded me that i have to pay a visit to that Briarheart and teach him a lesson.

Regarding Nimhe, i had the Voice of the Sky effect, so it was neutral to me, like any other animal. Falmers and spiders are neutral/friendly to eachother as well.

Now, of course i push my luck. If every battle would have a known outcome even before i start, there would be no challenge at all and that's not my style.
Think about this way:
When i'll use all those dwarven metal ingots to boost my Smithing to 100, it will be because i worked to get them, unlike the one time when i just went to the Stereoroom and took all the metal pretty much without effort.

About potions, i don't use potions during a fight and if i need to switch weapons/powers/spells, i use the hotkeys, but i do have a plan to deal with the poison (Snakeblood perks and Magic Resistance).

Dammit, i told her that a baby Rhino is a bad idea. You simply can't tame wild animals and it's too cold and not enough food for a Rhino here in Skyrim. Now we have a hungry Rhino on the loose...

Yerp!
A "Woolley Rhino" in fact

They are actually really placid unless....
A. You're a bandit ;)
B. You do get just too close

They are also much faster than a Mammoth and once riled, amazingly tenacious and persistent.

Just a guess...but I reckon they use the Mammoth Ai pack, maybe tweaked a bit.

I like them cos....well...tundra! Plus they are extra beasties to add variety. There are probably ten or so across the whole tundra region.

I guess Adella must have backed into him in the dark....my fault for not keeping 360 aware. My lampshade must've slipped over my eyes :D

The next chapter is up for anyone interested.

First i needed some iron ores and the first place that i thought about was Halted Stream Camp.

The bandits from Silent Moons Camp decided that they want all the silver for themselves, so i had to kill them all.

I went back to Whiterun to unload all the loot, then it was time to help two wandering souls. The tundra wasn't a tough place and the only encounter worth mentioning is the giant inside Sleeping Tree Cave.

There was one last thing i needed to do before i upgrade my crafting skill: getting revenge on that Briarheart.
I headed to Markharth armed with the newly gained Agent of Mara effect. On my way to Kolskeggr Mine, a dragon encounter ruined my perfect reputation. I think i hit a chicken with UF and those 15 Septims on my head will stay on my crime page forever.

Anyway, time to move on, there's a Briarheart waiting for me...

I spent my night at the Silver Blood Inn. Next morning i went to Karthwasten and tried to convince Atar to leave. The intimidation approach worked, but even after the dialog, he and his men were still there saying that they control this mine. My only option was to kill them all, but i noticed the AI glitch again. Looks like Atar will live for now...

Edit:
I forgot to post my Stats:
Time spent so far: ~ 32 hours
Level: 30
Skills:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Weapon damage: 120
Armor rating: 237 with the shield equipped

Lifetime bounty: 15 :bang:

The next chapter is about crafting. Everything i've done so far (Nchuand-Zel, Halted Stream Camp, Kolskeggr Mine, Sanuarach Mine) led to this moment.
Now i have Smithing and Alchemy at 100 and Enchanting at 51.
My Dragonbone sword deals 217 damage and my Orcish armor give me 304 AR with the shield equipped.

As far as action goes, there's not much to show. Only the beginning where i kill Atar can provide a little entertaining, the rest is just a long walk home and a lot of crafting.
