You die.. you simply restart... IMO this is the kind of "speed" round where to get the most amount of dungeon's cleared people might take chances, taking chances could end you up dead... So don't really need a penalty... just use the Ghost, Wraith.. etc tittles after characters name on a restart.. that way we can all keep tract of which iteration the character is in..

Nah, not really... 3 skill's perked, the Freebies are good this round, but.. they will only take you so far, the rest comes down to player skill.. and some knowledge of the game.

What Are said and you would subtract the time already spent leaving you with what's left. That is, died at 5 hours so next character Ghost only has 35 to work with to get **** done! ;)

Bram I think this round we are just doing a restart.. no taking off time. Reasoning would be the same as the rest. This round will only get harder as one levels up and completes dungeons and has to move on to harder ones. ( plus we never talked about it.. and it's not listed that way in the rules)

hey! Just think... You could play for 39.5 hours, get wiped out, and play for another 40 hours... Like "Buy one get one free" competitions... GREAT! :D

yes.. you can.. but you know... 30 hr's 10 dungeon's cleared... 20 hr's 15 dungeon's cleared.. time is only a stopping point.. it's how far out on a limb you want to go..

and like I said, no one brought it up before and as we start tomorrow.. unless everyone wants to put that in.. I think it's a bit late to do so now.

Honestly, there is nothing more disgusting than waiting anxiously for a comp to start, playing well, then getting killed off with little time left. Then having two weeks with nothing to do but sit on your thumb and rotate because there's really not enough playing time left to bother restarting.

hmm it might have been, but it's not IN the rules.. and we all know that if it's not in black and white someone will raise Hades about it.. so... like I said, unless everyone wants to do it that way. .. I have no objections.

But get Kane to put it IN the rules.. that way their is no problems.. I'm afraid it's one of those things, I hate being to nit-picky.. but we have had issues with rules that are implied, but not stated... y'all know it... :D

Did a little more testing on my character today. I noticed a silly stat function. I loaded up my tower save and went to check the stats and it said "Most gold carried 140" :lmao: Apparently the game keeps that number even if you load an earlier save. Went back to the charactergen save the game does and sure enough most gold carried still at 140.

So to combat this silliness and still test I remade from scratch, saved at the tower and then renamed that saves folder! Take that ya stoopid game engine!

Just sharing the techno silliness that make one go Hmmmm how the hell . . .

Found a link to an old forum post. Apparently the Most Gold Carried 140 has always been around. Some think it may be the gold the character was carrying before capture.

That's interesting. I just checked my Cora's tower save, and both gold stats are zero.

Are you on console? This may be a bug that's fixed in the Unofficial Patch.

PC and I am never installing the Unofficial patch on SSE. It makes too many changes that I don't want. I have it on SLE though. May go fire that up and see if the stat is zero on a new character.

SLE... I got 0 gold as well... Now if I do any other start except "vanilla" LaL, then she has a different amounts of gold.

SSE in the Dungeon ( Aleternate Start LaL) right after character creation.. 0 gold and I just did a complete re-install... so no orphaned scrip's hanging around..

Bram.. if ya know that amount is in the pocket.. just subtract it.. unless you really want to try and track down where it comes from. I mean it's not like it's a couple 100K in gold...

I think it's a left over script from some mod. I even have the 140 on SLE with the Unofficial patch. Guessing it's probably LAL. Meh, it's no big really because that particular stat gets overwritten very earl on in the game.

I don't think it's LAL, because I have that installed even on my "vanilla" competition profile (I just use the "crossing the border" start option.)

In any case, 140 gold is no big deal.
