Aahni is now at level 16, and just finished Nchuand-Zel. By the GODS that is a LOOONG dungeon! this one thought she would never get to the end of it! Of course making trips out loaded to the limit with loot every little bit makes it seem much longer, eh? Aahni already has enough Dwemer goods to rival Wal Mart with her "Dwemer Goods Caravan".

Interestingly, nothing in that dungeon actually gave her trouble... I'm so used to having problems with automatons that I automatically avoided melee until I discovered they went down like 10-pins. Still, she only took out a couple of spheres and a few spider workers. Lotsa Falmer bit the dust though! :D

We have our first Darwin Awards candidate. Gaius Octavius survived Nchuand-zel and cleared Arkngthamz. However, in a rush to find more Aetherium, he made an ill advised jump will leaving Arkngthamz. He is now hanging out for eternity with Katria warning would be Dwemer Scholars against proceeding. Be sure to say hi to him!

I will lick my wounds (mostly my forehead where I have been banging my head repeatedly for my stupidity) and re reroll a zombie. Name and race to be decided.

Just curious, you didn't happen to take the jump from the tunnel leading out of the room where the sonic rectumfrier whatsits are, did you? Long high drop, rocks and stuff in the water?

That is exactly the spot. Bad time to try it.

Splutter!
Sonic what!
Rectumfrier
Pwaaaa! :lmao:

Sorry for your loss Rafer.....making a bad decision is really galling....I 'd rather loses to superior forces and go down fighting. Kinda like when you slip off a rock face or the edge of a tower walkway to an unforseen death gaaaaa!

I lost a character the same way in that spot. I'd made that dive previously with no problem, but for some reason didn't clear the rocks that one time. Since that, I only make that dive using "Become Ethereal".

Sorry about your misfortune, BTW...

R.I.P. Gaius.

Quick update (because I logged out before checking my dwemer haul), Celia is level 18 and just finished clearing Avanchenzel. She is also the proud owner of Lakeview Manor's small house, but is ready to expand. Next up, Arkngthamz! (After I give Lydia a decent bow. I'm tired of her running in front of my mace swings.)

Level 18
About 15 hours

Ringmail Armor set (equivalent to Eleven)
Ring of Minor Wielding
Hide Shield of Magic Resistance

Elven Mace (Exquisite)
Elven Bow (Exquisite)

Lord Stone
Ancient Knowledge

It seems like I just did an update for Aahni, but things have changed a bit. She's now level 23, hours in are 31.01... So, my time's half gone, and I'm thinking I'm going to run short of time in the end if nothing else.

Currently, Aahn is in the CoW quests and going to talk to the Auger so she can get Mzulft out of the way.

Aahni is Level 23
Hours in: 31.0.17

Spoiler: click to toggle

Her Attributes are:

The Augur of Dunlain is so mysterious. I wish there was more lore behind him to explain that.

Looking good, neil! I was surprised to see how much time passed for me, too. I'm sort of playing the long game, though, so it'll be rush rush rush soon.

Yeah, I had always thought he was one of those things that was intended to be more, but it just didn't happen.

CoW unfortunately seemed almost like an afterthought. Immersive College of Winterhold (much missed, requires SKSE and USSEP) did so much to improve the college. Students actually practicing their crafts, teachers giving lectures, not to mention the place just looks much more magical with iCoW.

@Neil, the 60 hour limit is going to be tight. I realized this during testing and thought 80 hours would have been much more comfortable, but then I thought, what's a competition without that thrill of "racing", lol.

Perspective wise Aahni has completed far more ruins than Dhark (his only one is Avanchnzel). Ruins per hour Aahni is way ahead as Dhark has expended 19 15 hours is level 19 for only one dwemer ruin. Aahni at 5 dungeons with roughly 6 hours per dungeon is progressing very well! :)

I think Kane's assessment is going to prove true in that as time runs out the race to complete dwemer ruins will increase as will the probability of "oh CRAP, dead" scenarios. Quite thrilling to say the least! :scared:

Edited for type put the level for the hours :bonk:

Well, I'm hoping to plateau in skills at Expert. If Celia starts leveling off in the 30's, I think the ruins will easily be manageable with the proper gear.
