I do have one question Kane. Why is Reachwind Eyrie included in the Dwemer dungeon locations, but the Mzulft Storeroom isn't? I know it's by Mzulft, but it's still separate in that you don't have to get into the main ruin to get it, and it has one of the shards. And as with RE, it's got no foes to fight.
I just counted the Mzulft storeroom as part of Mzulft, since it doesn't have it's own map marker.
Well, why Reachwind and not Deep Folk Crossing? DFC has a map marker, and it's at least as hard to get to. Neither of them have anybody to fight.

There's also Bronze Water Cave, which is a separate cave until after you've been through Irkngthand. It contains some leveled animals and a Dwemer chest until then.

I'm not suggesting a change. Just blithering here. :)

Oddly enough, Deep Folk Crossing is hard to find on the UESP, so it didn't jump out at me. Mistakes happen.

Melinda has fallen in Broken Oar Grotto at level 11 when she got zerg rushed by the marauders while her summoned dwarven spider just kind of sat there and watched. Biggest issue i've had with this attempt is CCOR, downloaded and installed because of all the rave reviews....but it changes all the ore weights so they're painful to carry. Not only are they heavier, but it takes more of them to make a single usable ingot :/

Despite what other prolific modders and character builders might suggest, I think it's one that will be permanently struck from my list.

Not sure yet if i'll be making another attempt....I have another 2 days off between now and the end of the round, but most of my shifts will have me out the house from around 11am-11pm :(

:( I'll update the OP.
Thanks, Kane.

It's a location that everybody has to go to, for the shard, so it would have been equal either way. But now I feel as if I accomplished a little bit more! ;)

I never used the Atronach stone much before this round, but doing so and facing off against 5 hagravens at the same time, all flinging adept level destruction spells and being able to shrug the worst of it off just drives home how severely OP it is. Couple it with the atronach perk in the alteration tree and you'd pretty much just laugh off any mage...potentially dragons too, since their breath counts as magic (seriously, shock magic reduces how much they shout massively and frost makes them land more...unless that's just coincidence on my part)

I think I'll be restarting with a scholar of ancient civilizations outside of the competitions...throw in some mods to RP a slow start, but training with the equipment so it's usable. Already got a few lined up :)

Best of luck to everyone else still competing :)

Melinda will rise again in her own roleplay outside of competition, accompanied by hired help to guard her back as she explores...thinking a melee warrior and an archer so she can focus on her destruction, but heavily armoured for protection. Will make the black books a necessity, though.

Only problem with shifts that run anywhere between 4:30am and 1:30am....can't really plan for a life around it, even an online one :(

Sorry about your misfortune Poncho.

I once made that Aetherial Staff, and I found the summoned automatons to be very undependable. Was the automaton who sat and watched from the staff or some other source?

It was a spell from the Conjuration Madness spell pack....I also had a problem with the summon being absorbed by the atronach stone spell absorption. I thought that had been fixed by the unofficial patch, but I guess not...or at least not entirely for some spell packs. Just a little galling that I'd set up properly....I had my summoned weapon, full heavy armour, summoned minion and alteration armour spell all active....then the assistance breaks down when it's actually needed. Probably could have survived (just) if it hadn't been for the captain being in the front of the group with 280-some health and everyone else having 30-40 health. The basic marauders I could have just about handled while backing away...ah well, you live and learn. Next time I'll be sure to incorporate a shield into the mix :)

Quick update, not sure when I'll have enough time to play again. Maybe Saturday or Sunday.

Now Mjoll has her darn sword back, and that crazy Argonian at the Riften Docks just conned Corden into taking some Lexicon back...*groan*

Lyn had an exciting day.. which ended with a dragon fight.. she got some smithing training, made new armor ( huntress tunic) and a few other things.. Got a Statue for a vendor... a potion for the Steward..and I think all she has to do to get her house carl is wait til lvl 20 for a quest from the Jarl..

She is now lvl 15, has not done any more Dwemer ruins.. just a couple Forsworn dungeons.. Thing is, after fighting the Dwemer Dragon.. I knew her armor and such was not really up to fighting a Steam Centurion..so that needed to be taken care of, she is going to be working on potions and stews.. cause even though I have put everything into health... I think that's the smart thing to do.

It's been exciting for Aahni as well... definitely more exciting than she (or I) had planned. About two-thirds of the way through Avanchnzel, she ran entirely out of arrows and had to finish the dungeon with melee only since she uses no magic other than restoration...

She only managed to kill the Steam Centurion by luring it into a Dwemer trap.

Things started getting tougher in Alftand as she approached level 30, and it was truly a slugfest all the way. Then blackreach... What can I say about that? I went to every location I could find, killed everything I found, except for one thing. I hear there's supposed to be a dragon.

Aahni shouted Unrelenting Force at the big orange ball above the city, heard a loud tone like a bell ringing followed by the scream of a dragon, but... no dragon ever showed up. He was in the shower maybe?

With only 10 hours left, I'm really feeling the push of time, and trying to rush. In fact, in Alftand, she was hit by 3 or 4 traps that she nor I saw as she hurried through. Fortunately they weren't the one-shot kill variety.

Anyway, here's current stats:

Aahni is Level 30 (Difficulty Eggspurt)
Hours in: 49.52

Her Attributes are:
Magicka 100 (unmodified), Health 320 (unmodified), and Stamina an unmodified 170

Dwemer Dungeons cleared:

Dwemer Automatons killed: 119
Creatures killed:146
Dwemer books: 4 (I believe)

Letter from Calcemo: 1 received, not completed (artifact Dwemer Dagger of Burning was destroyed)

Centurion Dynamo Cores: 24

Dwemer Artifacts:
