I'm sticking with it, then. :) By the time I left the prison, I was only missing one piece from a full set of leather armor, and I had a steel mace. Only other thing I was lacking was a light shield.

Camping or Inn, Az ( or whichever) character I choose won't have the spell's I want to "Start" with.. so they will have to do a bit of "work" to get them. Grimiore has some really nice "beginner" spells.. and a couple that need a bit more in the way of Magicka, but I will buy as soon as I can.

The problem with using them to much is lvl'ing faster than I want.. which is the main reason I am "testing" at all.. otherwise.. I'd go in "cold turkey"

Yeah.. Az actually did the Lakeview start...which I won't use comp... and Good Lord...I did not take pictures but 9 wolves right out side the door when she walked out the 1st time.. Lost the Horse, cow and both chickens.. all she had was the started mace, flames and conjure familiar.. 0 armor, but as I started on Novice she lost a lot of health, but didn't die.. was enough to make most of her outfit now... Linen and a silver ingot were also needed..Bought the one, got the other in a quick dive into the Barrow near Lakeview..

But it's also light armor, so If I decide to go heavy and I am more and more thinking that way.. I'll get some armor from one of the near by bandit's.. Iron will do for a bit...

I've been concentrating on FO4 to prepare myself for the comp. Doesn't make much sense, I suppose but a couple of days before the competition starts I'll fire up my "test Aahni" so I can get used to the Skyrim controls again, but I won't be burned out on Skyrim or Dwemer ruins when the real thing starts.

Anybody remember my "Starbase Starlight"? It's nearing completion, and I'm getting anxious to see the final results... :)

I'm doing the same thing, neil. I've been playing a new character and trying to explore the Commonwealth as much as possible. There's still a lot left to be seen!

Spoiler: click to toggle

And I did decide that heavy is the way I will go.. it can be done .. so this is the look Az will be going with

Areial,

Kolskeggr is on my early hit list, usually level 4 maybe 5. I'll get the Arkay amulet plus blessing in Markarth which is a huge help. The 3 Forsworn outside are usually the worst for me using a hunting bow and iron arrows, but their Forsworn bows are great until you can get Elven. With that bow and sneak clearing Kolskeggr is pretty straightforward. The Briarheart dude is a hit and maneuver effort, but way easier now than even a couple levels more. If I don't hit Kolskeggr early I have to come back when I'm really geared up, and I need that gold and reward money to buy Lakeview asap. If one is playing a straight melee without a ranged attack...Kols sucks just a bit :scared:

Yeah Kols was a cake walk ( lvl 3 or 4 so still on Novice).. the hardest part was.. I added Immersive Jewelry at the Mine.. cause I wanted to find something out.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I found out.. I CAN get the gold to the smelter and then the ingot's weigh less than ore.. so can get enough to town to make the armor I want her to have. BUT... smithing will have to be watched closely.. IJ will lvl it fast.. which is not what I want... so will be selling gold bar's, not jewelry.. which of course goes for more.. 1/2 a dozen of one or the other!

I'm either going to be playing with reckless abandon (Sriracha)

Or very very cautiously (Edwinna)

Decisions, decisions... :)

I've got mine.. just took down The whole "Red Eagle" quest.. Jarl sent Az after the "Leader of Red Eagle Redoubt".. so I figured.. why not.. and just did the whole blessed thing..

I have two thing's I really want to check out.. one Dwemer ruin.. And Ill met by Moonlight.. their is a buff I want to see about.. err and see if the Jarl of Markarth will give her the Dungeon Diving quest before lvl 20.. Az has the house, but I want Argis as her follower.. errr and eye candy when she get's home.. before he can go out on quests...

Oh... and Az tought for 1/2 a second that she did have the House Carl.. but no.. just a Walking Dummy

:pst: There is an Elven Bow that is (nearly) free for the taking in Whiterun.... ;)

I usually one on Solstheim. It's completely free, if somewhat hazardous to get.

I informed the uninformed at Bethnet of the pending competition. Ya never know....we might attract one or two of the good'uns from over yonder.
