On the LaL start thing...

The "Left for Dead" option is generally a good disadvantage mod, but one of the starting locations can be an "instant death."

The Solstheim starting location on the shoreline north of Nchardak is right next to a random-encounter spawn point; if something deadly spawns there, you can be attacked and killed before the "waking up" animation finishes and you get control.

It's my opinion that anyone who suffers this fate should get a free re-try of the Left for Dead, since it shouldn't be allowed to happen on a game-start.

I'd be ok with giving a one time mulligan for that instance, that way it's up to the player if they want to take that risk again.

I'm planning on either the "Camping" start.. or Inn start ( in Riverwood) Put's Az behind in the $$ but, won't have to deal with the whole cart thing!

Yeah, the gold issue is one of the few downsides to skipping vanilla intro. I usually grab as much armor and weapons as I can carry!

That sounds perfect. That insta-death isn't common, but I've had it happen a couple of times.

Any Solstheim LFD start is hard anyway, because you need to earn the gold for the boat to Windhelm. Everything is tougher there. Fun, but time-comsuming and dangerous. :)

It's agree on Solstheim. The one I just tried started me near the Altar of Thrond. Even on novice, I was almost killed by 3 ash hoppers.

Even on Novice... the character I tried it with died 5 times before getting to Raven Rock.. and their is NO swimming.. as I have not only different types of Slaughter fish.. but shark's also..
I really love Immersive Creatures and Sea of Ghosts.. ( and Northern Encounters) but not left for dead on Solsteim!

Yeah gold is the one thing that Az will have an issue with, but chopping wood and doing some favor's aught to help.. she need's some spell's that really help.. "light the Tallow", "zap", and then; Icy Veil ( resist's frost and absorbs some magicka) same with the fire and electric spells.. they cost.. and can barely be cast on Novice without some kind of buff... but are worth it..

However if you go back to Helgen to start the MQ you can loot the keep and dead bodies there and then into the cave and loot that side so the money side of it is balanced out fairly well *nod to Arthmoor*

Since Skytest spawned some disagreements on its nature, I added Skytest to my load order twice. Okay, not JUST SkyTest, but SkyTest and then SkyTest harder animals... that should either even me out (+ or - wise) or put me into negative territory. Now even Skeevers can kill easily... and are built like tanks.

Current proposed mods with Clockwork not enabled at start since it tends to be script heavy and messes with sheeeet even with LAL. Pretty much everything is neutral since they're aesthetics mods with no bonuses or minuses to items (after all it's all about fashion, ;) ). Let me know if there's any all y'all think require a rating and/or a clarification. I didn't comment on all of them as they should be self explanatory by the file name.

Yeah, from there, there's a safe way down to Raven Rock, but it involves staying to the high ground, and avoiding any kind of fight. No bad stuff seems to spawn on the mountain sides.

With the start on the little island, and a little care, you can swim/scamper to the tower at Bloodskal Barrow. At low difficulty, even with just the Flame spell, you can kill the bandits there, and get some starting gear.

A bit more difficult if you're running a mod that puts a bunch of enemies in the water, though! :D

Hey what can I say. .. if some thing isn't attacking my characters every other step the land feels deserted! Ok so maybe not that often... but feels like it.

It could be worse. I use an alternate start mod for Oblivion, and one of the starts puts you in the corner of the boss room of Fort Carmala, with a Vampire Matriarch just a few feet away. Move and she sees you. :)

Oh dear Lord.. thanks, but no...

.I really need to download some mods and okay through Oblivion again. I just got Never Winter Nights to work. .. so gonna play that then next version. .. which I bought but have yet to download. I still have not played through all the DLC's for DAI...

...And naturally, there being so much time before we start...

...I've created another character. I don't know where they come from.

Horatio Potassius, Imperial Crusader and Scholar. Horatio is a veteran of the Great War, recently retired from service. He became interested in Dwemer ruins after seeing them in his travels with the Legion, and has decided to make a study of them in his retirement. He's old but spry.

So last night found I got the answers to all the question's that I needed... so I Az is going to take a break til competition starts.. I manged to get Az killed last night in Nchuand-Zel.. went into a sneezing fit and when it was over 3 Falmer surrounded her and kill-cam.
