Ok, moving right along. :ermm: Would Immersive Armors be a + ? That could be offset by Simply Stronger Dragons?
Depends Andra, is Simply Dragons configurable? That is you can make 'em easier than vanilla, same or harder or are they just tougher period?

Pretty sure unless the armor you use from Immersive Armors has better base stats than a vanilla equivalent it would be neutral with regards to use. If prices are significantly higher for IAs then that would be an advantage if you sell them, if not then no issue. Gets kinda weird with armor/weapon mods.

They are configurable, but not to be easier, only in how much harder they are than vanilla. It's a new mod I'm still testing, and I currently have it set to have dragons with twice the health and twice the damage they do. Immersive armors isn't OP'd stat-wise, but there are a few that will bring a few more coins than vanilla. Don't know how that will affect things, though the mod can be configured for any and/or all to not be distributed. Or, conversely, distributed , thus making things harder as enemies would be wearing too. Yikes!

I guess using Immersive Armors would be a call for Kane to make.

Az will be lvl 10 to 15 when she starts most ruins, I like having a perk or two on my major skills and I want 1 on my 2 minor skills also.

Az is Breton.

I generally put Immersive Armors as neutral.

For what it's worth, I just did Mzulft with Sriracha (Redguard) at novice. Since this involved doing the first part of the CoW, that means I also did Saarthal and Fellglow Keep.

I think she was at level 3 when we started the CoW, and turned level 10 (to Apprentice) just before the final boss room in Mzulft. This is an Archer/Spellsword type, with heavy armor.

Thanks Arei and glargg! Tentatively, I have a redguard male spellsword, with 1H, Archery, Lt armor, destruction, conjuration, and smithing. Not sure yet about any other skills, though I'm sure he'll have some that won't get perked.

Good to hear that about Immersive Armors Arei! My characters never do much smithing to sell, though they try to temper what they have before selling.

I kind of thought about the CoW just for the resources!

It's a fairly standard build, but somebody please chime in if it looks like I'm doing something stupid, lol. I'll be posting as the character develops. I have him created, with LAL in place, but haven't approached the Mara statue yet. Vanilla start has it's advantages, but so does LAL. SO hard to decide!

Personally I would recommend going with what you enjoy playing with regards to build, start, etc. If you're enjoying yourself you will worry less about everything and that helps from the distraction of worry. ;)

:hugs:

Definitely need some kind of armor to do a dwemer dungeon at low level. When we were still talking about a limited skill-set, I took Nokandu through Arkngthamz with no armor, just Oakflesh, Lord Stone, and one perk in Mage Armor. If he hadn't had a good supply of soup and stew, he wouldn't have made it, and Katria did a lot of the work.

I later tried Raldbthar with him, and couldn't keep him alive against dwarven spheres. This was at probably level 7 or 8.

Yeah, he'll wear armor, just light. I've tried heavy armor many times, but it just isn't right for me.

Anybody have any idea how/where the Redguard/Alik'r warrior start from LAL goes, or anything about it? Eh, no matter, I'll find out shortly...

The one time I tried it, it started me outside of Soljund's Sinkhole.

Yeah, just found it the same for me Kane. Clothed, but no armor...not sure if I'll go with that start.

Edit: though the scimitar was ok.

That's kind of a nasty location too. It would be a hard haul to Markarth or anywhere to find some armor. I'll have to think on it. Don't even want to try the Sinkhole with no armor!

One of the reasons I went with Immersive Weapons is the ability to have the kind of weapon I want Az to have at a low lvl. ..now that IS a advantage mod, because it starts you with weapons +1 or more from the start. But it's worth it to me.

Scimitars can be made from the get go, with iron... then with perks each other metal. They are pretty equivalent. .. but not exactly so.

I'm playing this with SSE, I don't want to mess with my SLE game, so no Immersive Weapons. I will have Fenrir Blades though, if my character finds the place to get one, so I think that will be neutral. The mod author doesn't like to just give one to the player, which I find is a good thing. Otherwise, I'll be happy with what I can find or make. Also, since I'll have a redguard, I'll probably have Hammerfell Armory, also not 'giveaways'.. That's more than enough for me.
